What's causing my blueberry leaves to turn reddish brown?
Comments (4)Well they were probably not exposed to a lot of light, the redness is a sign of stress. Maybe slowly expose them to the sun. Assume they are greenhouse grown and need acclimation to the outside environment. It's not that unusual, all should be fine. Increase sun exposure daily. You should do this with all new plants. Start them in shade and increase direct sun exposure over a 2 week period. Maybe now leave them in the shade a couple days, then one hour, direct sun next day 2 etc. Everything else you did seems proper, so my guess is acclimation, or possibly cold, but that looks like sun damage to me. And I agree pot looks dry, but so do mine as the top layer of these mixes often dry, but are very wet an inch down, so really do not need water. Keep it moist not wet or dry. If after 2 days in shade, the redness decreases, it was too quick a transition to sun exposure. If still red, it may be another problem....See MoreRugs for a brown leather sectional, reddish-brown flooring

Comments (39)My feeling is that you may be in color overload. It is easy to get there, especially with the thousands of colors offered. Truth is out of all the colors there are really a handful of popular colors that work. There is a paint company called C2. They don't have a ton of stores, but you can order samples online. You don't need to paint your own samples - they sell huge samples ( 18" x 24" painted color samples (not printed paper). The samples are about $5 or $6 per sample.if purchased in a store, $9.00 online. They have smaller painted cards that run $1.00 online and are free in stores. Their full fan deck is only $50.00 They have a limited selection of colors, just the "Best in Class". Using EasyRGB to look up colors that are similar to Revere Pewter in Benjamin Moore Paints I get this: 10 colors with very little variance. Using the same program but looking for colors that are similar to Revere Pewter in C2 Paints I get this: 10 colors that are similar in depth of color but have quite discernibleundertones. You are pretty much guaranteed that one will look good with your cabinets and floors. More isn't always better. Sometimes it is simply more confusing. If I were you I would probably start with the lighter colors, closer to C2 Archival For $11.00 you can get the small paint sample of all 11 colors - pick the 3 you like best and for another $30.00 get big samples and make a final decision. Easy peasy done!...See MoreWhat's causing these reddish brown edges on my spider plant leaves?
Comments (3)In the sense that all reactions of plants to their environment are normal (because plants are reactive organisms), the issues Liewellyn outlines are not normal to healthy plants. Liewellyn - Please provide images of the fungaluglies you and your other plants are battling. It might provide valuable incite insofar as what might be occurring. I advise you to stop the shotgun approach of using a variety of home remedies to cure as yet an unknown issue. The H2O2 (hydrogen peroxide) has a free O- radical that immediately tries to pair with another electron and immediately attack the nearest organic molecule. Depending on what type of neem product you're using, the vehicles (liquid in which the neem oil is dissolved or suspended) used are very often phytotoxic to many plants. It's best to use only pure, cold-pressed neem oil on plants. Skip the hort oil. Its primary targets are insects in varying stages of development (which can be disease vectors) and it can help to limit spreading of fungal infections by immobilizing fungal spores; still, it's not as effective as a fungicide. Removing affected leaves is a good move, providing they ARE actually suffering from a fungal attack. Baking soda has as high Na (sodium) content. While a minute amount of Na is essential to normal growth, it quickly becomes toxic at higher dosages. It washes off the plant and is absorbed via the root pathway, or can be absorbed via foliar entry points. What are you using for a grow medium? By what metric do you decide when it's time to water? Are you using fertilizer regularly? If yes, using what, and what are the NPK %s? Have you used any household cleaning products (like dishsoap et al) in any of the attempts to help your plants? Are the issues limited to older leaves or all leaves affected? Al...See Moremommyshanti
