I Did It! Changed Cream LR Walls to Gray
Comments (47)I wanted to get a better shot of the walls but it's been extraordinarily difficult to portray the color as it really is. In truth, it's very much nicer in real life. I did try a few different looks for the mantel. The final look is with the small painting with water and ice floes which my husband painted in the middle, the green vase on the left (which looks much better that way) and the books on the right. The antique Chinese charger in now on the lower level of the coffee table. The faux plant by the secretary is back simply because my husband and I like it there, good taste and contrary opinions notwithstanding. I will look for another one that looks less faux and we're also looking for a picture light for the portrait. After this, I think I need a little rest before I tackle any more projects. I was still moving things around on the mantel after midnight!...See Morecomtemporary rooms with grays, cream and white too bland?
Comments (7)I love the combination. My entry, living room, and dining room are all painted gray with white trim and cream curtains. I have some bolder furniture in there to add some interest. I frequently get compliments on the room, even from random strangers delivering things to my home. The living room and entry face South, but the dining room faces North. I love the serenity of the color combination and even the North-facing room does not feel too cool....See MorePaint color - a neutral grey or taupe that goes with RH Linen (cream)
Comments (5)Thank you Marylee H! Tonight I painted SW Beach House, Colonnade Grey, Requisite Grey and one other color whose name I can’t remember. Of that bunch, Colonnade or Requisite are the winners but I need to see them in the daylight!...See Moreedgecomb gray or natural cream? (Benjamin Moore)
Comments (69)I am deciding between Edgecomb, Natural Cream and Elmira White. My room has both south and north facing and I tried (Clay Beige(too dark) Inukshuk(too pinky) Shaker Beige(too dark orange) but looks great on walls in other areas. Is Natural Cream less gray than Edgecomb. Not sure Elmira will work because it might go pink. I could go with Edgecomb but it is the more grayer choice and I wanted something more neutral beige with some grey and no orange, green or yellow undertones which seems impossible. Thought maybe windsbreath but might be too light. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks....See Morebossyvossy
