Comments (7)CR LAINE is superb and I couldn't say enough about how nice the upholstery comes out. I think it's a hair better than Lee. I sell sets to my clients and everyone loves it. About 20 different craftsman touch each piece. I think you can get under $6,000 for a nice sectional. If you work with a designer, let them know your constraints and if they are like me they will make it work for you. A rules of thumb to avoid cheap or mass produced upholstery: High quality upholsters always offer highly customizable pieces (since they are bench made and are not pre-fabricated). It's a good sign when there are 3-4 options for cushions and cushioned backs and many finish options. Remember to ask who makes pieces since companies change the names to re-brand. Restoration Hardware for example has a lot of import upholstery. Crate and Barrel is Lee or Michael Gold typically. Pottery Barn is Rowe. CR Laine beats all of these. Another designer brand that's fabulous is TCS but it's only sold through designers....See MoreImpossible to find a good sectional

We are leather furniture specialists and offer good true advice for leather furniture shoppers where we can add a positive view to the conversation based on 30 plus years in the industry. We do not add unrelated links. We do not add links to any products only helpful information on this platform to educate and hopefully help folks seeking good real advice for furniture shopping. Our guide and other informative blog articles are great tools for helping folks who come here and ask for advice on saving time and money when shopping. Wellington’s was not trying to get you to buy from us at all and we are not spammers we have posted hundreds of helpful additions to many leather furniture conversations. It’s unfortunate that you have taken offense to me adding a helpful shopping tip for leather furniture shoppers. Omnia Leather would be a good company for you to look at and they offer deep seats on several of their styles. They are made in America and price really well for the quality. But I don’t think they will price as low as Ikea's price, not sure about the other names you mentioned. Our goal is to fit into the conversation not distract. We love being a part of this furniture community and would never do anything to jeopardize our relationship with this forum. Wellington’s wishes you the best of luck with your new leather sectional purchase....See MoreHelp finding comfortable and quick dry outdoor sectional or sofa set
Comments (1)For comfort you need to sit on the pieces, most good outdoor furniture cushions are pretty good at repelling water bit you have to remember there are seams that will allow water into the filling if soaked .We live where we get torrential downpours and I actully move my cusions under an overhang if I hear the forecast. I have never really looked but there might be cushion makers that use a glue in the seams which I think would avoid the water getting in ....See MoreNeed help ASAP - code sections re: preslope required in shower
Comments (42)@Mel Damron - so based upon your comment, I’m a difficult customer just because I wanted my shower pan to be built in accordance with the terms of the contract (which required that the work complied with applicable codes???!!??) I actually made this post in order to confirm whether the work had been done correctly or not BEFORE I discussed anything with the subcontractor. Not sure why a customer is labeled as difficult just because I wanted my shower pan to be installed correctly so it would pass an upcoming inspection (and drain correctly when used). Funny - considering that pros on Houzz + pros on John Bridge Tile Forum all told me that I needed to stop the work immediately because the subcontractor failed to install a pre slope before installing the pvc liner. Also, when my GC returned from out of town, he completely agreed that the sub contractor had failed to install the shower pan correctly. FYI - I am on great terms with my GC - and have engaged him for upcoming renovations for my kitchen, laundry room, powder room, wine room, staircase, plus adding a covered deck + new patio + firepit in my back yard. I also just gave him a car last weekend for his son. My mom passed away unexpectedly, and my sisters decided that I could do whatever I wanted with her car since I had given it to her for a birthday gift a few years earlier. My two daughters both have cars, and none of my nieces/nephews needed a car. I knew that my GC was looking fir a car for his son - and since he has taken care of me - and does great work - I asked him if he wanted it. It’s not a big deal - but between that and all of the new work he’s doing for me, it doesn’t seem like he would refer to me as a “difficult“ customer. Not sure why you felt the need to insult me....See MoreThe Stated Home
