Comments (150)Mary, thats crazy! A few months ago I started mysteriously getting catalogues and stuff for my mom. She's lived in the same house I grew up in since about 1990.. and thats 800 miles away from here. Erica, Thats one determined plant. I'm currently on a seek and destroy mission for the following things 1) 'wild' catnip plants, 2) the mysterious vine taking over next to the pond. "Leaves of 5 can't stay alive!" and 3) queen annes lace. Currently all three battles are being lost simultaneously in this picture!!...See MoreOBF August Cookbook Swap #3
Comments (149)Hi All again, Neil didn't win, but like I said before he is still a winner. He is going to get a lot of wonderful job offers after the tour is over. They finally showed Cindy! and her husband too. I liked how he thanked everyone in Western New York for voting. Though he had some great voters in other areas : ) I'm leaving tomorrow morning for Cincinnati/Covington Kentucky. I'll be gone through Wed. It should be a nice trip. The CHOPTAG tomato party will be a lot of fun. I'll finally meet many of my tomato trading friends. Theresa, I'm sure it will get easier once you get a routine down. Try not to stress too much. Trish, Sorry to hear about the job! I'm glad you got some things lined up already. Remember to show that sweet happy self and I know you'll get a position. I'm also sorry to hear about the health problems. At least it is treatable. My youngest brother has MS and had to take steroid medications. He doesn't like it either, but it definitely helps. April, Happy first birthday to your baby! Klick, Don't work too hard. : ) I like to see you post. Ananda, That is great! Life will be so much easier or at least cleaner, lol, now. Kim and everyone in the heat, I sure hope it cools down soon!!!! Carol, I knew you would do good at your job. : ) Nancy, It is amazing how men get over anything with an engine, lol! But it is great to them to get that garden work done. If I missed anyone, you know I didn't mean it! Talk to you all when I get back, Remy...See Moreupdate: obf august brides - part 3
Comments (42)You girls are so wonderful. :) Promise- congratulations on the winning mutant. That is quite the tomato. Mary- those are just grape tomatoes. I dont know what variety, sorry. I totally forgot to share the story of Something Old!! A few weeks ago I found a small box at the bottom of my regular jewelry box. It was full of trinkets and costume jewelry I'd never seen before. Nothing special looking. So I start asking mom about all these costume rings and things I couldn't identify, and if she knew where the box came from, but she had no idea where any of it came from either. Then something catches her memory... This locket. 8 years ago grandma's apartment complex burned down entirely. No one was hurt, but grandma lost everything. In her closet she had a queen size comforter bag FULL of 7 generations of pictures, all burned away!! Mom hasn't seen this locket since she was younger, so there is still no telling how I ended with it, but inside are two pictures. This is my grandpa Irving (who passed away when I was a baby), and grandma Ruth (who I adored and passed away of cancer not long after the fire). This picture was taken ON THEIR WEDDING DAY! It will be tied to my bouquet, because we're convinced grandma reached out to be part of the wedding. :)...See MoreNEW: obf: august fun-blooming friends
