Comments (117)I'm here! Been so busy haven't had a chance to get online! I got my HUGE box from Remy Friday! She sent a BIG planter (really pretty), a magnetic photo maker, a Weman's bag (that's where she works), flavored ice tea bags, herbes de provance, a citronella bucket (so timely - we just got a batch of skeeters this week because of the recent rain - it's rained four times this summer - HaHa), jostaberry jam (she made from her own bush), and plants gerber daisy, rudbeckia, vinca, sedum, a succulent and a geranium. Thanks Remy I loved everything! Sue G....See Moreupdate: obf august brides - part 3
Comments (42)You girls are so wonderful. :) Promise- congratulations on the winning mutant. That is quite the tomato. Mary- those are just grape tomatoes. I dont know what variety, sorry. I totally forgot to share the story of Something Old!! A few weeks ago I found a small box at the bottom of my regular jewelry box. It was full of trinkets and costume jewelry I'd never seen before. Nothing special looking. So I start asking mom about all these costume rings and things I couldn't identify, and if she knew where the box came from, but she had no idea where any of it came from either. Then something catches her memory... This locket. 8 years ago grandma's apartment complex burned down entirely. No one was hurt, but grandma lost everything. In her closet she had a queen size comforter bag FULL of 7 generations of pictures, all burned away!! Mom hasn't seen this locket since she was younger, so there is still no telling how I ended with it, but inside are two pictures. This is my grandpa Irving (who passed away when I was a baby), and grandma Ruth (who I adored and passed away of cancer not long after the fire). This picture was taken ON THEIR WEDDING DAY! It will be tied to my bouquet, because we're convinced grandma reached out to be part of the wedding. :)...See MoreOBF AUGUST VACATION swap (pack your bags!)
Comments (283)Hi Ruth, I just dug up your pomegranate tree, cured the yam and got your box together, could you send me your address so I can get it to you. Sorry about the delay, I got a community garden plot and had to work quickly to keep it. One of the master gardeners tried to take it back right after I got by putting vinegar on my seed trays, covering my plants with mulch, stealing my weeding tools, and then proceeding to plant his own stuff over my space. It was a hot mess, I haven't been online as I have really been wanting a community garden space, and I wasn't giving up without a fight. My tool had my name written on it so someone noted that and returned it to me, they noticed my plants were covered in mulch and called him in to talk about community garden etiquette. Hoping the garden is mine now and I can enjoy gardening in soil as much as containers. Anyway you box is ready; if you have any questions about how to grow anything I did enclose a few tips on some of the more unusual plants. Message me please...See Moreamybabyboy3
