Xuan! Congratulations! My focus has been on bulbs that will do exactly as you say your baby is doing. I wish to have multiplying 'onions', only in this case they are hippeastrum. Unfortunately, I did not record what I sent you. I simply sent you some of this and some of that, and labeled accordingly. It would not surprise me that some of my seeds would heavily produce babies like you describe. I tend to make those crosses when I can. My one and two year Johnsonii crosses are doing just as you describe. I did not sow any of the Voodoo or Supreme Garden crosses. I gave those all away, but I wouldn't be surprised if they did the same as you describe. I think that what Hans-Werner is saying is that the numerous pups will not slow down the advent of blooms, but I will let him answer for himself. In the meantime, when these bulbs are two years old, in your climate, I would plant them in the ground. They should bloom better in the ground as opposed to a pot under light! I have the same situation, except with two nests in boxes that are about 25 feet apart. This is the first year I have seen this behavior. They started building in one box, but after only one day a HOSP pair decided to take over the box, so the bluebirds moved to the other box. Then an even stranger thing happened. After two days, (and NO nest building) the HOSP pair just decided to leave! I have never seen this happen before, and I don't know why they moved on. (Maybe they could read my mind that a trap was in their future??) But I think this is the reason the bluebirds are building in both boxes - to try to control the territory. It will be interesting to see which box they choose.

If you have plenty of storage elsewhere and/or a fairly large kitchen, deadening out a corner may be OK. However, as Madeline616 specifically stated, this is a small kitchen. Small kitchens typically are short on storage, so even an "inefficient" storage area is better than no storage! Personally, I find that corner susans are more useful than the blind corner cabinets (and you don't need a small child to retrieve fallen items!) for base cabinets and easy-reach cabs to be more useful for upper cabinets...both with a 90-degree corner (i.e., no diagonal), but to each his own. (For uppers, height may be a deciding factor...I'm 5'10" and can reach into the corner easy-reach cabs fairly well.) In my experience a corner cab of some sort is standard (susan, blind, easy-reach) - if you want to eliminate that corner storage, you have to tell the KD or cabinetmaker you want it eliminated. Did the cabinetmaker include extra stile width on the sides of the cabinets to accommodate the filler that's needed in cabinets installed in a corner with a dead corner? You need either that or significant filler to allow the doors/drawers to open and clear the drawer pulls/knobs on the other side of the corner. The corner cabs mentioned above provide "natural" filler... Personally, I'd get the cabinetmaker to make a corner cabinet of some sort!

I bought my son a daybed when he was ..16 I guess? And he saw it as a huge upgrade and said "oh wow it's so grown up!" I must say though that my son is easy to please, in many instances. It's twin btw He's a thin boy, medium height, now he's 19, and it's good enough for both him and girllfriend when they come for a break from college. The girlfriend is slightly taller than him) (just to add -not that you need that info-that first time her visiting, it was a guest room for a young lady..then the request was put in..then I said she should clear it up with her parents..ok you get the picture-the bed is big and comfortable enough)) With daybed you control the mattress same as with regular bed, which is cool, 'cause frankly I'm very glad I got ours on huge sale, they wanted 1200$ or so for the bed that I with lots of patient waiting was able to buy for 400$-and let me tell you, 400$ reflects its quality more..Or so I think. But it looks good, and holds the mattress, Ours is from West Elm. It doesn't have the trundle so it's normal height We have another daybed with a trundle in a guest room, that one is higher. It's somehow very cool to fall asleep on, (unless one is elderly and it's too high and then I use a trundle if needed) but I wouldn't say it prompts one to use it more like a sofa. While lower daybed does. As for making the bed-all my childhood I would strip the bedding off in the morning, make the sofa bed look like a sofa, and pretty one too (my Grandma had a whole system I had to follow) , then put all the bedding back at night. Both me and my brother's bed . And on school breaks, I had to do the same for rest of sleeping spaces in the house.. We didn't have dedicated bedrooms with beds that looked like beds, so there you go. Matter of minutes, really. I agree that with bunk beds, it's harder. Well to me it's harder-I'm a small woman who doesn't like to climb anymore))
