Raggy Quilts for Christmas gifts? What do you think?
Comments (2)Hi, What a great idea. I'd love to see what you did. This is such a great idea. I've got lots of left over pieces of fabric, from sewing projects over the years. What a perfect way to use them and give as gifts. Do you just sew up the strips, and then use batting in between and back them? By the way, I introduced myself last year as a (lurker)... However, I was off for quite a while with family matters, and have just recently 'resurfaced'. I just enjoy and love all the wonderful things that everyone presents here. Glad I got to read about your Christmas project. Jane...See MoreFabric and pattern for a new quilt
Comments (4)You're going to have a blast making this! Everytime you look at the fabric you'll get fired up to sew more. I've seen that pattern at my local quilt shop too and thought it was very attractive! Can't wait to see your finished product. Kate...See MoreHelp, do quilters like to receive quilt gifts?
Comments (10)You bet I'd love to get a quilt. I'd probably appreciate it more than an non-quilter, for one thing. Secondly I give my quilts away and the only one I have kept to date is the first bed sized quilt I ever made and it's getting ratty from washings and I'd love to have another to change off to. Thirdly, the possibilities for designs are endless, so no two need ever be just alike, and fourthly, like Vicky says, something made by someone you love is extra special and when you look at it, you don't always just see the quilt, you see the person in your heart working on it, just for you. Priceless....See MoreQuilt pattern for focus fabric
Comments (13)Jennifer, I'm not sure I ever want to see that one again. I never found the hocus pocus pattern. I like the Donna Robertson 3 yard quilt. I think the pieces are too small for this fabric, though. I was wrong, I may not be able to get anymore of the fabric. What they have on Etsy is not the same color, but the same pattern. They apparently made it in two color combinations. I may just use it for the 6 1/2 inch no theme I spy swap. I'll have to check it to see if it will work without fussy cutting. Fussy cutting just wastes soooo much fabric. bkay...See Morelittlehelen_gw
