Comments (3)I have the GE Advantium 240 which is a speedcook/microwave. The GE Advantium 120 is a convection/micro and speedcooker in one. Basically, a speedcooker works by using upper and lower halogen lights and microwave at the same time in varying intensities depending on what you are cooking. The microwave is cooking the inside of the food while the halogens are crisping the exterior. You can either use the preset menu or input your own halogen and microwave power levels. It does really work too. I cook a whole 6 pound roaster chicken in 20 minutes. It comes out really brown and crispy just like an oven. I probably don't use the speedcook feature as much as I should to justify the price tag but it is nice to have a frozen pizza in 10 min for the kids. It really depends on how you cook. If you use a lot of the preset items, it would be worth it....See MoreWhat does a micro built in kit consist of anyway?
Comments (3)My GE microwave trim kit consists of a trim ring and spacers with anti-tip devices. Really, the hole it goes in is just oversized. There is a steel frame the micro sits up on to keep it off the floor a couple of inches. there is also plenty of space all around it for good circulation....See Morefinally, everything is finished!
Comments (39)mobuddy, my kitchen is approximately 12x12. It is kind of horrible to work with because there are 4 doors in there, I would have liked a longer counter but since 2 doors are perpendicular and the other 2 are also perpendicular, closing any door off wouldn't help because I couldn't close the other off. One goes to the dining, one to the sunroom (only entrance from inside the house), one goes in tv room, one goes to the basement (only door going there) The contractor even looked at trying to move the basement door into the tv room, but it would have been impossible without a complete structural change. I can't figure out how to post a video, am not getting a link to send you a private message (don't know if I could post video there) but would be happy to send you an email with the video, it gives you a much better idea of how the kitchen is laid out....See Morekai615
