which backsplash to go with countertop?
Comments (27)Gray ceramic tile is a good choice, but if the island gray and the tile gray have different undertones, which will most likely be the case, they'll look pretty bad together. We haven't seen your island paint so we can't tell you which tile looks better. And we'd need to see the tile in your kitchen with the island, counter, and lighting installed and even then, we can only go by what each of us sees on our individual computer monitors....See MoreWhich backsplash tile would you choose?
Comments (7)It may help you to visualize the pieces together by orienting them in their correct planes. Lay the countertop sample down horizontally, then the backsplash tile should stand vertically behind the back edge of the counter sample with the cabinet sample to the side of the backsplash tile. These are the planes they will be in your kitchen. Backsplash tile looks quite different laying flat. Hopefully you can do this in your own kitchen so the light will be realistic, and not fluorescent lights in the store. I think the grayer or off white tiles might look nicer. White cabinets can be difficult to match to white tile, but you may find a good match that will be your preference. Take a good picture of your samples in your kitchen and let us weigh in! It's going to be beautiful!...See MoreWhich backsplash?
Comments (19)if your counters are reading 'warm', then stick with warm color tiles and vice versa. its very hard to tell with your pics since there doesn't seem to be great lighting and the lighting will change from a bathroom to a kitchen. best to post a pic of the kitchen so we can see the lighting and layout. i would not use a different color grout no matter what u choose. the counter is the star, b/s second fiddle. b/s just needs to compliment the counter....See MoreWhich back splash looks better?
Comments (3)No to either - they’re both very busy and honestly, trends from the past that are waaaaayyyy past their prime. How about just painting back there, if you don’t like white maybe a color?...See Moresamayyz
