I don't have an answer. Nola's has a picture similar to puttytat's (at daves). Beth's picture was perhaps shot in the shade but shows the same plummy hafts and fall edging. Does your camera shoot on the red side? It's registered with this description: S. buff tan edged gilt; F. orchid lavender, red brown hafts

Hi Korry, Welcome to the Plumeria board. sounds like what you are doing is working. It will bloom when its ready and strong enough, I have some 3 yr old and 4 that have not bloomed yet..hope for summer. Are you feeding them? They lose their summer leaves, will grow new ones, but do need sunlight. Hope for blooms. Karen B

Yes, the handle holds the developing mouthparts. Sphinx moths are fairly good sized insects, but there are other species much larger that don't have that appendage. They do, however, have an extremely long proboscis, which consists of two parts connected to form a tube. That's the reason for the hook.....neat, huh?
