Thoughts on this color combo for office?
Comments (7)InteriorStylist, I reviewed the plans again and it does appear that the MT is on all of the 'outside' walls that have all of the windows. Took me awhile to figure out the placement of the colors and after doing so may feel better about the MT. The accent wall that my boss told me about actually appears to be the majority of the interior walls which is also where I'll be hanging the art (pages from anatomy books). I laid the plan out for my boss and showed her where the colors would go in addition to creating a 'chart' of the colors so she could envision them better (she really could care less and I think is just trying to humor me). I liked the way that they looked together very much. It is a more masculine palette and we both lean more that way ourselves. I can't wait to get inside! I think that it will be a very sophisticated place for Physical Therapy. Thanks - you guys made me feel better about the MT!...See MoreMy Kitchen Needs Color
Comments (39)mom2sethc, wow, I love your kitchen! My cabinets do look a lot like yours color wise, but a little lighter. You're right. Here are two SW mock-ups I just did. Sorry, I forgot to mask back the ceiling light. Bamboo Shoot. But the color looks way different on this mock painting job than the color looks in your kitchen. Here is SW's Red Cent, which is an 89% match to BM's Audubon Russet, which was also a suggestion. I'm also considering a green like BM's Medieval Times or Valspar's Organic Garden. I can't find a SW color to match to do a mock painting though. Finally, I think my backsplash area needs some tile to pull my kitchen together. I left the brown there in these pictures since I'm thinking tile and not a color. Thanks for all the help. I can tell everyone here knows how important getting the right color really is. Comments (54)"I also want to pipe in here and say, it's important that beagles not get "toned down" or jawboned into just a "pop" of color. That approach may be trendy now, but there is nothing inherently more tasteful or better about it, and what she's going for is indeed colorful but quite classic, as somebody pointed out above." I don't think anybody here is trying to change her mind. She can choose whether she wants it to look like the Taj Mahal or Disney or Monticello or whatever. The truth is she came here asking for opinions on paint colors because she is not sure of her choice at this point. I get where she is going with this look but there is nothing carved in stone that says she has to do all yellow or all blue or a mixture of any colors for that matter. She doesn't even have her furniture yet so IF she wants to change something now is the time to do it. I was simply giving her some options to think about. So I guess we have to get rid of that "pop" of color now :(...See Morecolors gone wild!
Comments (34)Florantha, I saw some of your 180fx pictures on other threads - absolutely gorgeous. Thanks for so much for sharing. Trying to fit seating into my plan, I ended up with a countertop/table about 7x2 against a wall. I talked to my builder about it this past summer, but there's no way to support the weight of stone there. So it needs a laminate that blends. Plus I was envying the swirly stone patterns. And whaddayaknow - 180fx! Above is the blue storm. I ordered samples of blue storm, golden mascarello, and yellow river. The antique looks just a little pale/cool for my blend, at least online. I can't wait to see the samples. And I "dropped in" to a Firuze tile store. OMG - overwhelming possibilities. They had the nu travertine walnut from arizona tile, but it doesn't look quite right for me. The grey veining is more of a shadow than a color to pick out. But I'm sure I can find something in there. I learned after many discussions that I really can leave some things until later in the design process. Your walls sound beautiful. It's smart to keep the rich color on the walls. And of course, the 180fx is stunning. Gotta love it....See More- 9 years ago
