Well, the floor is very attractive, and I really like your inspiration pic, so I'd go with a sofa in that lighter tone. But then I'm liking everything lighter these days. I love your warm-looking wood tone floor color, so stick with a warm light cream/beige sofa, and I really like it with the lighter walls as in your inspiration pic. That's my opinion. p.s. Your floors should've been installed near to the wall, so when the baseboard is put back, there isn't a gap. I'm sure you have a solution for that.

I would senfd it back just for the sloppy upholstery job. Maybe after a few days it won't look so bad but I am wodering why you ordered gray when all the other colors are warm beiges ?I would start by cjhanging the light bulbs to LEDs 4000K that will smooth out some of the yellow cast you have now . Good advice above abiut a rug that combines warm and cool colors and some color for sure.Then use the other colors for accents . Right now you have nothing else in the space I think starting with therug will make a huge difference.

It’s hard to tell the exact neutral tones on a monitor, so these are just general ideas. Do you like these traditional styles below? They’re all Karastans from Incredible Rugs and Decor (I’ve ordered rugs from them, good experiences). They have a returnable sample option, so you can see how it would look without having to return a big rug. I’d definitely do this in your case, because too gray or too tan could clash, and mock ups are not always the true tones. If you go to their site, you can do mock-ups to get general ideas. Imagine with pillows that would coordinate, solid or patterned (or both). Heather. Start from the fact that with this furniture you have a space that looks very squished. So I would bring features in that “visually” trick the eye to make it “feel” wider and more spacious. My mock up is intended as “concepts” and you can choose objects you like best. First I selected a Diamond pattern rug in neutral shades to expand feel of space. Next put a gallery of art and set it up to be on both sides of sofa. Select items with black frames and largely black and white content. Could be black and white photos. Arrange so that white cover on wall above sofa is minimized. Paint that your wall color would be helpful too. You said you have ordered rectangular coffee table but a round shape would work better given size and shape of the sofa and ottoman. Last get an arc lamp that has flat base that slides under furniture to create light and more expansive feeling on right side of space.
