Playing catch up...Part two.
Comments (9)You mentioned that your purples and darks are quite saturated this year, and that was exactly my reaction seeing your photos. Beautiful intense color and I especially like Grape Velvet, Francis of Assisi and Creature of the Night. I have also noticed that the color of hydrangeas this year has an intensity of blue and purple that I've never seen before. My blue hydrangeas are the color of lobelia. Does anyone know what might be causing this? (I don't treat them to tweak the color.) Christine...See MoreMore photos from the last week (Lavender/Purples)
Comments (15)Thanks everybody!! Glad I can convert some of you to the purples!! :o) Debra - I got a nice 4 fan clump of HD from the seller last fall, and it seems to be doing well. I get all giddy when I see it bloom - it has become one of my favorites (and therefore has had it's pollen all over my garden). I sure hope that fan comes back like gangbusters for you... :o( What a bummer. lalalandwi, I had to wait 2 years for Darlyn to have enough GW Painted Pony to sell. I think they are a smaller hybridizer AND that one is in high demand. I took a quick peek and both GWPP and GWTP are sold out. BUT, if you email them, they will send you an email when they are available. They were GREAT to work with and send wonderful plants. In fact, the bonus they sent bloomed today too! Comments (6)I have to laugh at the funny little fledgling bird. What a powerpuff :-)) My favorite shots that you posted here are the gardenbed shots. Love both of them because they are showing so much color and a wonderful mix of daylilies and lilies. I think they mix together wonderfully. I am torn to choose between Lavender Rainbow and Little Raven for favorite as I love both. But Little Raven has that wonderful deep purple coloring. I am in a purple mood today so I will go with Little Raven for favorite. Besides I know you figgured I would choose that one :-))...See MoreStill catching up! (more pics)
Comments (13)they are all very pretty. Your first unknown looks like a Siloam, but I am going to have to do some searching to come up with a name. I have added at lot of lavenders this Spring, but I need to add Dragon Dreams to my list. Thank you. Jane...See MoreJulia WV (6b)
