I think if will depend on adhesive. I suspect it isn't water soluble or you would have already soaked it off. There are products that remove gummy adhesive by disolving it in a turpentine base, like Goof Off. You might try that but I wouldn't leave it on fabric for long. If you rub it off with an adhesive remover, throw it in the wash and wash it good. Sorry I'm not much help. Linda

I have a bunch of decorator sample books like the ones you describe. My grandchildren love to cuddle with soft and/or fuzzy textured blankets. I cut out all the silk, flocked, satin, shiney, fuzzy samples in greens, reds and golds. I squared them up, fit them together and made a patchwork quilt. I backed it with some old burgundy velvet from my stash and tied (rather than quilted) the layers together. The grands love the textures and it cost me nothing. I also made some bottle bags from the larger pieces when giving wines for Christmas gifts. Dianne

The plants are all real. Forgot to mention, each one has a little chair I made out of florist wire with a tiny upholstered seat - which also used up a few more fabric scraps. Also sprayed those with urethane so they don't rot too quickly or grow mildew. The hardest part about the whole thing for me was patience - waiting for stuff to dry thoroughly, and finding the plants to use. Due to the burst in popularity suddenly of mini gardening, WM & L's have had tiny succulents available. Possibly HD too, none close enough to visit. DH nailed the boxes together from scrap wood at his work. Sprayed everything, not just the quilted part, with urethane inside/outside so it will should last for a few years. I've got a thread about it in the house plant forum, if anyone would like way too many more details, more pics of these and other people's minis. OTOH, my Mom made one for my Son's teacher with all faux plants since we didn't know if she would appreciate the responsibility of live plants. She used much more mature-size stuff compared to the scene since they obviously won't grow to fill it in. It's daggone cute too but there's nothing quilted about it. I'm apparently an outlier here because I still don't think a trellis design works with your rug. I don't think the design itself works, and the trellis has a definite modern and a definite casual feel, which is not the way the rest of the room is going. Also, I think your sample colors don't mesh well with the rug's background color. I'm not sure about the navy on navy. I think I like it the best of all your new choices. Alternatively, if you could find that diamond design in navy with, perhaps, the outlines and inner diamonds in the rug's background color. Or the obverse of that. Something like that might be really interesting.
