This is not where it sits all day- it is normally on the window next to that one (the one you can sort of see in the background of the picture of the whole plant) along with a bunch of other plants. Because it is with so many others and i only have one fan running in the room, that it is probably getting inadequate airflow. (Also my basil keeps growing a white mouldy film on the side of the pots, once again i think it is from lack of airflow). Trying to find more places to put my plants, but living in an apartment with only so many southern windows and no outdoor space is really challenging! I think there is more new growth on it than i realized, but the rate of leaves dropping off to new growth happening was troubling to me :P

Thanks, Mike and Al! I will try to get a pic up sometime today. Sunburn - I don't think so. It was outside for a little bit, but I put it inside about two weeks ago because we had a rampaging squirrel on the fire escape that ate some of my other plants. Grrrr. It's in a very sunny window now. Too much H2O - maybe, because I've increased it in the past week and a 1/2. But based on descriptions of how avocados act with too much water (yellow), I think I can eliminate this. Too little H2O - maybe, but I've increased this and have seen no change. This is what I thought it was originally based on other things I've read. Salts - maybe. I flushed the soil on Tuesday. No change. Root temp - don't think so....it's been inside Nutritional - maybe. Doesn't look like fertilizer burn....I've barely fertilized it because it's so young. Al, I think I fed it a month ago using standard 1/2 strength Miracle Grow Houseplant food. (8-7-6). I can switch to Foliage Pro if you think that would be better...

Like kayjones says, the leaves will grow back!:) Dan- wow- such a long post!:) Yes, I finally opened my web store, because I am feeling a little better. I am still in pain but the meds help me get around a bit more. My brugs are holding up well so far. The hottest it's been was 106*. I planted most in ground last year. Those in ground have a deep layer of composted horse manure over them, and I haven't had to hand water them yet! Thank God, I couldn't water them in my condition anyway! We are behind in our rain for the month so far. Get your list together soon, I'm selling the best angels fast! I have only a few special angels that are not listed on my site. This is a good discussion. I also planted a new pomegranate tree about three weeks ago. Our zone here is 10 (San Diego). The pomegranate's leaves are starting to turn yellow. I wonder if this is the normal yellowing for a deciduous tree or if there are some pests involved. Here are some photos: It looks like there are clearly some ants. I am new to growing fruit trees, but have read that ants are sometimes a sign of other infestations and that ants can actually encourage other infestations. Any ideas about what are the little green/brown spheres that seem to interest the ants in the last photo? Any ideas or suggestions for optimizing the health of this tree?
