Comments (6)Yes, I am familiar with the offerings at Broken Arrow. But also, they are in CT (z6b), so they offer Glauca due to it's hardiness over species. In my z6 I had some burn damage on the ends of the needles even with 'Glauca', so I'd imagine the species cannot survive in anything less then z7. I have only had mine a short time, but have read reports that these plants will be killed to the ground in a bad winter. The nice thing is, they regenerate new growth, even from a stump! I'm not aware of any mature specimens in z6, even of 'Glauca'. I think most people grow it with the expectation it will get killed to the ground every 5-10 years, but z7 your probably fine....See Morestuartlawrence (7b L.I. NY)
