Strange behavior for my roses

Every rose died to the ground this spring(17 below late in season) I cut them all back and they responded very well. Sent up new shoots and all bloomed nicely. About a week ago they started dropping leaves and are nearly all defoliated. What can be going on? They have never lacked for water, and I fertilized them after blooming. Only one had a little blackspot.

Every betta has their own unique personality, believe it or not. My betta flares at everything that comes near his tank - including me. As long as Alex looks healthy (dorsal fins not clamped, no velvety film on body or white bumps, etc.) and displays vibrant colors, he should be fine. As long as his appetite is good, he is healthy. Is his water heated? Bettas are tropical fish and thrive in warm water. I add 1 teaspoon of aquarium salt to my betta's 2-1/2 gallon aquarium. Sounds like Alex is just being, well, Alex. LOL, CJ. She certainly knows what's what. I've seen them many times move right in as soon as the feeder is changed-- obviously watching. PS I use 3:1 too.

Strange cat behavior...why?

I was told once that taking a kitten away from mother too early would cause the sucking/nursing behavior. I am not sure if that was true. I got a Maine Coon cat a few years ago and the woman who bred them would not adopt until they were at least 8 weeks old. She at first did the nursing at least daily (no sucking but would drool) for about 6 months, now only occasionally. She is 3 yrs old now. It seems to be relaxing and puts her into a trace like state.I don't think it is strange, alot of cats do that nursing/kneading thing,it probably just an old memory of being with mom and feeling safe. I don't see any harm...(at least she doesn't suck)

Roof leak - strange behavior

I am not a roofer but have hired many roofs repaired and replaced. This I can tell you. After replacing a skylight on a torch down roof there shouldn't be a screw head on top of membrane. Any visiable screw should be in the shadow of skylight flashing and at least 3" above horizonal surface of roof. "IF"you are able to stop a skylight leak with caulk,it will soon return due to expansion and contraction of all the different material involved. The more i hear,the more it sounds like you need a different roofer. As if you don't have enough trouble,I have somthing that will distress you even more. Leaks so small they seldom or never drip indoors can and will rot the structure out. Out of sight,out of mind roof leaks are to building what cancer is to humans. Use good roofers,they are cheaper over the long haul.

At least you know it's not borers...They are horrible. Did you cap the cut off canes with something like 'Elmers glue' to prevent wasps from laying eggs in those canes? Were the canes cut back bigger than 1/8 inch round?

Did the leaves fall off yellow? Do you have bugs eating the leaves? Were they green hen they fell off? Dehydrated or soft when they fell off?

My Tammy Clemons does the same thing. I don't know what it is. Can't treat unless you know what is the cause. Does anyone know if slugs does this?

No bugs, leaves dried up then fell off, thought they were dying.no holes in cut off canes. They are beginning to leaf out again. 3 hybrid teas, the rest are mini's.

Where they sprayed with anything such as neem oil . Is it possible to post a photo of damage either this time or if it should happen again. There are only a few thing that can cause this type of damage. Now to figure out which happened to your roses.

1 - they ran out of water. Were these new last year. Mini's can take forever to put roots down sometimes and it very easy for them to run dry.

2 - A spray was used that burned the leaves.

3 - Root problems as in perhaps they have been kept wet. If it is the roots it will likely happen again.

Even borers won't cause your plant to totally defoliate. I have so many types of borers here it drives me crazy. But I'll spare you that rant. Pics are the best way to get help. If you don't know how to post them on here ask and someone will help you. If no camera no problem we well still do the best we can.
