I do, so long as it isn't raining. Even then I take a tour across my porch to at least sniff or observe my potted plants. In addition to roses I grow herbs and enjoy rubbing the leaves and inhaling the soothing scents.

Sonic. I do the same exact thing. I love the Lemon Balm, Lemon Oregano and the Chocolate Mint!

Lemon Oregano?? Oh, I haven't seen that yet. My favs are Lemon Verbena, Lemon Thyme, and Lavender. And I'll rub mint on my gardening gloves when I'm using them to dig, pull, or just general stuff. I tried to like Chocolate Mint but my nose said it preferred Pineapple Sage which is becoming a new fav. (very pineapple-y!)

I try and walk the garden at least every day. It's a major part of my therapy (PTSD) and it has worked very well. Well enough where my DR. has put several of the patients on a "grow a few roses" program. I know a few of the guys I served with in Nam are growing roses and love what it has done to their temperament. Take a deep breath and smell the fresh air with a little rose mixed in. Watch the bee's, lady bugs and the birds and relax. Even when I was working for a living (drywall), I always tried to walk the garden when I got home. It was so relaxing after a full day of go, go, go.

Every morning before work, it helps that it is light at 5:30. I also go out in tbe cool of the evening . I speak to each one, calling them by name giving g them s nice drink and Taki g in their fragrance. Yes, I promised myself that if I grew them I would take the time to enjoy them.

Ps,, I still work full time and sometimes it is a challenge to pull myself off of the couch

I do , at least once a day but usually in the morning and evening . I go by myself in the am when my kiddo is still asleep and that my favorite. I love to go in the evening with her and look at blooms and talk about the birds we see and flowers. Best part of my day is being in the garden , even if I have 500 things to do out there.

I tour the yard twice a day deadheading spent blooms etc...And yes I enjoy looking at our roses each day... :-)

Since scent is primary in a rose that I grow, I spend many hours a week sitting in the garden, literally smelling the roses. Generally the best time for scent is between 11:00AM and 1:00PM. I can't do this every day, but as often as I can.

I spend a lot of time in the roses at other times, particularly in the evening from about 7:00PM until dark. At this time I feed my turtles, check grain cups of my pigeons before dark. I have a little loft of 8 hand tame fancy pigeons, Pigmy Pouters and Holle Croppers, right next to the rose bed. They are pet garden pigeons that I let out frequently to bow and strut around the garden during the day.

I know how extremely blessed I am to have all these luxuries. I express my gratitude to my Lord all the time for them.

I have luxuries that most fast paced, high powered people consider foolish, simple minded eccentricities of an out of touch old man. From them, what they say, I consider a complement.

Moses, all of us are blessed to be able to enjoy and share the beauty of our rose gardens. I would love to see some pictures of your pigeons, also.

I'm a bird fan and second the desire to see pics of the pigeons.

I'm usually in a rush coming and going, and so I've tried to put a lot of my fragrant plants along my front walkway so I can take a quick sniff as I pass by.

I am barely functional technology wise. I wish I could post photos of my pigeons, but its beyond me to do so. I will try to get a youngster, someone under 70 yrs. old, to assist me in obliging your request.

In the mean time, go to YouTube, type in Pigmy Pouter and Holle Cropper. You will see these fascinating pigeons. I have pure whites, reds, a black, and blue bars. All they do is strut around and dance all day long, both the males and females.
