I don't dislike any of them really. Kumquats would be low on my list. And I like kiwi ok but don't eat them much because they hurt my teeth after eating them.

I would say durian is my least-favorite, but I can't make myself eat it. I can't even make myself be in the same room as an "opened" durian.

My daughter and I were on the subway in NYC when a mother and her two children got on the train in Chinatown. They had a sliced-up durian. They opened the container and ate it. At the next stop, the people sitting next to them got off. As the stench permeated the traincar, people moved farther and farther away from them. They were oblivious.

If you've never smelled it, it's a combo of rotten flesh, feces, sewer gas, and vomit.

Peaches & I live in Chilton County which is known for their peaches.

I am not a guava fan, and cannot muster much enthusiasm for mangos and pears. I used to hate honeydew, because restaurants serve hard, tasteless hunks. Then, once, a restaurant served some nice, wonderfully sweet honeydew and I discovered how it was supposed to taste.

ETA: I forgot. Grapefruit. Yuck. The worst.

Apples and bananas are my least liked fruit. I'll eat them occasionally, but don't enjoy them.

Bananas make me burp and leave a strong after taste in my mouth. I don't like the fuzz on peaches or apricots either so have to peel them. I love Babcock white peaches so put up with it.

I like papaya with a scoop of vanilla ice cream...nothing is terrible if prepared correctly. I tried quince jam the other day.

Apricots with peaches as a close match (don't like the fuzz, but, I do like nectarines).

I don't dislike any fruit - in fact I love most. I love dried apricots but less enthusiastic about fresh ones, and papayas do nothing for me. It's really about freshness and ripeness. I just finished eating 3 SC peaches with a bit of brown sugar - delicious!

Strangely, I have an aversion to watermelon, and I was a farm kid! We grew our melons with the field corn. At the time of last cultivation of the young corn, Mom would plant watermelon seeds in the corn rows in the most moist part of the field. Before summer ended, we would be munching on melon at will. Excess melons were simply ploughed under as soil conditioner.

One time when I was about 6 yrs old, my uncle and i split a watermelon between us and a half hour later, I was very ill at my stomach. It took most of the afternoon for me to recover. Since that event, I have had an aversion to watermelon. At age 18, I could eat a couple of bites and much later after I turned 40, I could eat a small slice if I took it slow. Today, in old age, a still do not savor the taste of watermelon. The rest of my family are watermelon consumers and I am viewed as arriving from another planet.

I enjoy all other fruits whether it comes from a tree, vine, bush or briars.

I cringe at eating a ripe banana haha they are only good for making banana bread and I don't like honeydew melon but love cantaloupe.

Mamapinky0, the only time I have had marula was in the liqueur called Amarula Cream and it is really good but one glass of it is pretty potent, well at least for me. I get pretty giggly when I have had it but it tastes really good.

I like most fruits. Mango and papaya I'll pass on. And overripe bananas. Once they start getting a lot of spots, blech!

I think the flavor of a lot of the fruits mentioned (papaya comes to mind) depend on where you eat it. For example, I cannot eat it here. I've only had good papaya in Hawaii and even there I've had some not-so-good. Same with blueberries. The ones fresh picked here are wonderful, but the ones I buy in the grocery store are iffy from time to time. They aren't bad, just don't have much flavor.

And melon - Whoa, what a difference in flavor those can have. In some breakfast buffets they are awful. Nothing like a fresh home-grown melon that is sweet and juicy though, whether a cantaloupe, watermelon, or honeydew. But my DH doesn't care for any of it although he will eat a little watermelon.

I agree with OutsidePlaying. Locally picked fruit fresh from the tree/vine is makes a difference. If you're only getting store bought stuff. It has usually been picked too early to develop full flavor. I don't like blackberries from the store because they aren't fully ripe. Sugar can't replace the flavor they are missing. I can tolerate the store bought strawberries, but they don't compete with the ones I used to get fresh from the plant at the strawberry farm. I don't like seedless watermelons because they are tasteless and still have seeds. I actually like all of those fruits, but the in-store version doesn't have the flavor that makes them desirable.

I love ripe bananas. :) And I agree certain fruits you just have to try a good one. Honeydew is amazing but I have had bad honeydew. No flavor and very crunchy. Not good!

Melons of any type. I grew up eating them fresh from the garden and loved each and everyone of them. Now I can not for the life of me stand them. Funny how your tastes change. I don't even like the smell of them. I am not a fan of Raspberries or tomatoes either.

Apples plain is my least favourite fruit. I enjoy them with a squirt of lemon or lime and in a fruit dish or in pie.

I love pretty much all the other fruit that I've tried. I wet peaches and apricots down and find the fuzz gets tamed enough for me. Never tried durian or Marula fruits.

Mealy apples or peaches suck big time.

Bananas and oranges don't make the 'good' list, and I can be picky when it comes to blackberries, raspberries and blueberries. I've learned that the best way to select fruit is to smell it, even if it looks weird to people around you. Most of the time I buy my fruit at Costco, as long as I can sort through the flats so I don't bring home the damaged or spoiled pieces in the process. I can't believe that there are people who don't notice they've got clearly spoiled pieces of fruit in their cart - I can smell it from a few feet away!

I'm not a picky eater, I like most all fruit as long as it's good quality. Any variety of fruit can be nasty if it's not ripe or it's over ripe. I love a very good quality apple but I hate a nasty mealy apple.

Dislike raspberries because of all the tiny seeds. Marula fruit is hard to describe. It's tart and sweet at the same time.
