Stressed out Euonymous Fortunei Sonoma County

John C

We have a significant planting of these in Eastern Sonoma County. Pretty dry here, soil is not great. Drip irrigation. In the winter they get brown and a bit rough looking. Spring they look great- very green. Summer, they start getting yellow. We've tried Miracle-Gro without a lot of success. In the recent blazing heat wave they are looking wilted a bit and brown, even with extra water. No photos unfortunately, but any advice appreciated. These are supposed to be very hardy plants!
