Corner spa (above ground) privacy in screened in porch (aka Lanai)

I'm looking for ideas on something tall and flat to grow or put behind in a corner of a screened in lanai. It doesn't have to be completely opaque - but hopefully low/no maintenance. Just more or less so it reduces people in the spa from being in plain sight from the outside of the lanai.

One aesthetic/visual I sort of imagined would be a thin line of 6' high bamboo growing on those two outer walls just behind the unit (but inside the lanai) - or faux bamboo plants etc. (layout and sketch attached)

But it could be something else entirely - the spa is being delivered on Thursday so I have to decide how/where it will be located (right up against the screen wall - or leave space). The neighborhood is completely under fascist HOA rulers that forbid home owners to plant anything in the actual ground outside the lanai. Thus the idea to landscape INSIDE the cage.

One reason I would NOT want actual bamboo plants - bugs and spiders. Not things you want to join you in the spa tub. Vinyl lattice or bamboo roll, is a little too cheap looking - any other ideas that won't break the bank and have nice appeal and function?

I think you need to show a picture of the actual space. Not close up ... show the overall area.

It's currently still dark out so will take a photo later this afternoon but, it's simply a corner. Similar to this, but screened in (vs glass/wood), and stone pavers (vs tile). This is a product pic of the actual spa BTW. I'll add the empty space pic later...

I'm also including the updated floor plan for downstairs. So I can reach into the closet cabinets in the laundry area, I'm told the only solution is to use bifold doors which I hate with a passion. The width of the closet is about 7'3". Originally if you notice in the original plan he had regular doors but the wall cut my cabinet area in half so it would have been useless. Any other ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! PS As per suggested in the bath forum, I switched the door into the bathroom to a pocket door. Not ideal as I don't love them either, but this way the swinging door for the toilet closet won't now bang into the door to the bath. Oh and the kitchen in this is incorrect. See above thread for corrected kitchen.

Milton: My husband claimed that at uni, he reached a detente with a family of racoons by giving them part of his sandwich. The family (it's always three of them with the creepy grunting in the dark at night) we now have in the yard do not seem to bother anything, not even the vegetable garden. However, I did have to boot them out from under my wood shop using---sit down for this one---bars of Irish Spring soap shoved generously throughout. The odor is unbearable even to me; and they are more sensitive to it than I am. If that had not worked, I was prepared to drill holes into the floor boards and empty bottles of the same rancid cologne/fragrance oil thing that the vet recommended for my cat who is allergic to bug bites. The substance is so vile to my sinuses, I would have needed to put on my respirator mask just approaching the shop. Kev: Yikes. They like a lot of stuff. We have squirrels here, too, but the brown ones but they only topple pots and do not seem interested in anything I am growing. Also, the tree guy once counted 4 walnut trees and 6 oak trees growing around our property so they scoff at my plants. So caging is not an option? Or drones.

cpartist, how did you move in without a CO? Lidia, I would like nothing more than to quit my medical laboratory job and make little houses instead. I may be in a position to at least go part time soon, but I still need all of my tools (which have been in storage since April...ugh) and a decent sized space to do it in... basically I'm saying I need my freaking house in order to make houses.

JMCK, that is true. I am getting used to being tree-less. Sort of. The other element is that I will have to choose my container wisely since we get freezing temps and it can crack. Lastly, I have to admit that I like trees in containers best when in multiples. True, we are currently thinking we will put the house on the market in ~3yrs. And this is the most time I've spent at this house in summer (my kids are taking courses locally). My poor tree measured out at 32" diameter, and the ivy vines were several inches thick; it wasn't hyperbolic to suggest they held the poor 'ole tree up! When it is ground down, I actually have one or two things I could put there in the interim, an antique metal armillary or a white painted white cedar obelisk. In the meantime, DH switched out the long rectangular table for the round one we had in the craft room and we now have our "summer set up" for the DR. I have really enjoyed my "screened porch" sitting area. Hearing the birds and the fountains and feeling the breezes.

Bamboo drops a vast amount of litter and there would not be room for it, even if you allow a space between the spa and the screen.

Is there any possibility of using several hanging plants? Privacy would not be 100%, but as the plants increase in density it could break up the view.

The most practical answer will be a decorative treatment of some kind, not plants. Perhaps a roll-down shade made from outdoor sun shade fabric. Or find or create a screen made of larger bamboo/rattan to place within the screen frame. Wooden louvers?

Thanks - I think the sun shade might be the cleanest solution, though we're going for a tropical vibe and those would be more modern. The larger bamboo reeds look kind of interesting... As promised an empty screened in corner photo. The two large upper corner screen panels would be good candidates for roll up shades or permanent panels of some kind maybe. though we are subject to frequent high winds so maybe not permanent.
