Jim Dandy Winterberry bloomed too soon for Maryland Beauty

I finally purchased a Jim Dandy and a Maryland Beauty Winterberry in the spring and unfortunately the male plant bloomed too soon. ;-) The female is just now blooming and I'm 85% sure there are no other winterberries in our neighborhood... just in case, I took Maryland Beauty (growing in a container) and put her right in the middle of my garden with all the bumblebees in the hopes that I might get some berries this winter.

Maybe next year the two will flower at the same time. I hope to get other varieties but for now I only have the two. :)

Edited to add: you can't see from the picture but there are several varieties of pollinating attracting plants in that bed and the ones next to it.
