no berries on these shrubs

Hi all,

I have no berries on any of these shrubs: winterberry, sumac, and bayberry. The winterberry are above waist high, bayberry maybe three ft, and the sumac are way over my head.

I purchased seedlings of these shrubs, five each, unsexed, mail order from a nursery about 3 plus years ago. Could i be so unlucky as to get all male plants?

Everything from the nursery is growing great - i like my white pines, and the gray dogwoods and elderberries are fruiting well. The catbird is a regular visitor to the elderberry.

I have dreams of creating an ultimate wildlife sanctuary - but do you think these plants might fruit, or do i have to buy some specifically labeled female plants?

Thanks!
