georgia_on_my_mind and Karyn, try finding 'Zanzibarensis Ricinus' Castor Bean seeds, they are a mammoth variety ..... then plant them near a Brug or feed them like a Brug. I had one here a few years ago that I would swear was the 'bean plant' in the Jack in the Bean stalk nursery rhyme and even in my zone it grew to the height of the small bathroom window on the second story on my house. ( likely about 15' tall). This is where I got mine from: Ricinus Castor Bean Zanzibariensis and yes, we needed a saw or an axe to chop down the plant at the end of the season.

Josiah, I was wrong about descendents of 'Silver Ridge'. Checking my list, I see 'Silver Ridge' is 'Quick Silver' X 'Rare Flare'. I have 'Quick Silver' and 'Silver Ridge', among others. Many of the KG hybrids I have bought recently have been un-named. There are a couple of growers nearby (Jim Smith and Tom Vincze) who are using KG and other hybrids as breeding stock, creating another group of cool looking hybrids (e.g. 'KG-14' X 'Purple Haze'). It's getting messy fast. I'm just collecting plants I really like, named or not ;) BTW, what happened to KG-1 through 13? First numbers, then names, and now no names. I don't think even Kelly Griffin has a complete collection of KG hybrids. ;) The market for KG hybrids is getting crazy. I know someone who sold an un-named KG hybrid on EBAY to a Japanese collector for $180!!!! Keith, do you own all of those in your link? That is an impressive collection of photos. Brad

Hey Sharon and all! Thanks for checking in on me and this crazy weather....AGAIN. LOL I've had some challenges with my router and internet connection so I'm just now able to get back on line. That would be after several hours of frustration trying to get it and my network working again with help from a friend via the phone. Yes, I'm high tech challenged in a big way! Doing okay here for the most part. We lucked out here in my area and didn't get as much ice as they did west of here. Still some ice but no major power problems for the most part. I think we received about 1/4 inch of ice. I know there about 65,000 without power west and south of us last night. Much better than the 07 strom when we had 650,000 plus homes without power. Right now it is snowing like crazy. We were only suppose to get a couple of inches but now they say anywhere from 4 to 8 inches. I just measured and we have a good six inches on the ground(on top of the ice/sleet) and it suppose to keep up for several more hours. Trixie, I sure hope you keep your power on for the rest of the weekend. Alexa, hope your family down in OKC are doing okay. For those of you east of me I hope y'all are doing okay too. Toto Drake would be in your price range, flushes well and is fairly compact. Toto has a big following on this forum. I have a Mansfield Cascade which is slightly smaller than average that I like quite a bit (after I replaced the flush handle/lever) that is still quite comfortable for me. I'm 6'1". In general your round bowls will take up less space than elongated, although an elongated gives a guy more room, but round bowls are still comfortable.
