Amazon Fresh
Comments (5)Ordered lots of juice, coffee creamer (came in a styrofoam container with dry ice, lots of protein bars. it was very convenient. However, when i looked at some other stuff, i found that they are going to charge me all at once for the service -- $299 a year. i have made a note to cancel after the free trial -- i was quoted a monthly fee. Can't afford to pay all at once. Will continue to use it for the rest of the free trial....See MoreInstacart/Publix info, please.
Comments (12)Have you considered ordering your groceries from Amazon through their Amazon Fresh service? It is not available everywhere, but it is quite excellent. I believe there is a charge on top of having Prime to have Fresh- but it is totally worth it. Check and see if it's available in your ZIP code. If they deliver anything that is not up to snuff, you contact them online within a few hours and poof the item is removed from your charge (happened once to me with apples.)...See MoreFresh Garden Living Store, on Etsy = Stargazer Perennials, on Amazon?
Comments (13)Lisa, I believe those greater assortment of rose varieties seen on Etsy's, available spring 2018 site, will soon appear also, on the Amazon Stargazer site, but for immediate shipping when they are posted. If I remember correctly, Stargazer's Bolero rose I ordered on Amazon was listed again in midwinter a year ago, 2017 (I was watching for it because I missed ordering it earlier in the fall), so I snapped one up right away at that time. The Bolero was smallish as were all the other liners I purchased from Stargazer on Amazon, gong by the average liner size one would expect to get these days, but they all were healthy, and grew, in ground, like a weed. I kept the Bolero in cold storage in my fruit cellar after I got it, and it went right into the ground come spring, no transitional pot growing step up, to hulk it up....it proved not to need it. I said all this to give you hope that getting your desired roses from Stargazer through Amazon early enough may be possible. I would check Stargazer's site every other day from now on. I tried to contact Stargazer a number of times, but never received a response, but give that a try if you want further information...nothing to lose. Moses...See MoreNo fresh hot peppers anywhere!
Comments (45)sleevendog, it's funny how picky some plants are, isn't it? I tried the Jimmy Nardello, I was told how sturdy and prolific they were. I got one plant that went crazy and gave me about 6 peppers, the other plants barely survived. Sweet banana is usually pretty reliable here, and the best yield came from some of those little tiny colored pepper assortments I bought at the grocery store and saved the seeds. They produced like crazy, as did the poblanos, jalapenos and serranos. Not a single paprika pepper produced, they struggled all season and never got more than about 8 inches tall, growing right next to the poblanos which were about 3 feet tall and got so many peppers they were falling over, I had to stake them. They like what they like, I guess. I did grow two carolina reapers in my front entryway, moving them outside daily when the weather was good After two years I got two tiny little peppers and thought "well, I'll at least save the seeds", but neither pepper had a single seeds. Maybe a pollination issue, although I did hand pollinate with a brush. The plants were nearly 5 feet tall when I gave up on them. Annie...See Morebeaglesdoitbetter
