Hi, everyone!
I spent a beautiful day in the garden today. It brought to mind this 2014 topic, started by Greg (Hijole).
I love his passion for gardening and wish Greg was still on this forum. In his honor, let's see what's popping in your garden and what interesting repots you can share.
I'll begin with this Huernia schneideriana "Red Dragon" planted in a conch shell:
If anyone knows what that spike in the center is, where a cluster of spent blooms fell off, please do tell ... perhaps a seed pod?

6 years agoOK, here's one for you, done in March 2016.
The cactus was getting too large for the pot.
After repot, which was not easy. (OMG I just noticed the dog!)
Here it is now. I turned the old pot over so the new one didn't sit directly on the ground, for better drainage and hopefully to keep insects out.

These have all been repotted in the past 2 months to better mix:).
Made this for my cousin last Friday:).
Just repotted my Rat Tail cactus this past weekend. The String of Nanners was taking over, and not letting the Rat Tail do its thing. Haven't repotted the Strings yet:). They were in this hanging basket for two years. I had to cut them out of the Coco liner.
All by itself in a new Coco liner:). He looks happier.
Did this a couple weeks ago.
I bought these Portulaca molokiniensis at the end of April. One of my all time favs. Always dies during the winter, but this year these two will go inside:). The first pic is when I first bought them. By one get one deal. They were on deaths door. These plants do not do well in periods of drought. They are from Hawaii. So they can't help it;). Sorry the first pic is bad. It was taken in bad kitchen lighting at night.

Today repotted in a better mix. Gets more water. Probably not as much as they would like, but they are looking better:).
