Comments (20)Marji, A new home with a dedicated sewing studio! Lucky you!! Calliope, When I do a Depression Block, I like to have a distinct light and dark between the 2 sides. It seems to make the pattern 'pop' better. But, there are times a muted look is desired, too. Lois, Your turtles are so cute! And, they're green....watch out, Beverly might snag them. lol You're welcome, Bobby. Glad you like them and they are useful......I like that they're clear and I can see what's in them. :-) TG/Linda, Can't believe you're running out of things to work on. How about doing a reverse redwork project? Donna, It makes me so frustrated when something like that happens......don't want it to get the best of me and it looks like you're the same way. I. Will. Get. This. Right! lol I'm doing a grid on this quilt and using the blue painter's tape. It's working out pretty well. I just might be able to get it up there before the shower after all......maybe. :-) SharonG/FL...See MoreAre you quilting this weekend? August 29-30
Comments (16)No sewing for me - we arrived in England Saturday morning - and forced ourselves to stay up until 9:30 last night. I got up at 1 this afternoon - DH about 2:30! Our son arrived about 3pm (we are staying with him). After he got settled back in we walked into town then had dinner. We are all just chillin this evening. He goes back to work tomorrow, I am hoping to see if there are any fabric shops nearby - will keep you posted. I hope you all have a great time at retreat - I am sure you will!...See MoreAre you quilting this weekend? April 29-May 1
Comments (14)Linda, France is so wonderful. Try to relax and enjoy it as much as possible. This is a lovely time to be there. What part of France will you visit? Is this your first trip there or a return visit? I'm so sorry that all the work of disposing of your mom's house is falling on you. We did that in 2009, but my sister and brother also helped. Sharon, I've had the 2.5" and 4" squares all cut for months now. Sometimes I just sit and work up the fabric combinations without sewing at all. I have started sewing two a a time. That does help. I haven't timed it, but I bet I can get two done in 45 minutes. I suppose if I did four at a time, I would save a little more. I'll just have to be very organized so I don't get confused. Trimming all those hourglass squares does take a lot of time too. Sue, I can't believe all the snow you're getting in Colorado. We have kids in Denver, so I follow the area weather....See MoreAre you quilting this weekend? Jan. 27-29
Comments (13)I'm anxious to see Linda's mystery quilt, too. I changed two colors in mine so it will be a bit of a "bastard" mystery but who cares. I don't have a home for it anyway. I have the bits and pieces made and am still assembling. I drive by the out-of-town longarmer on Feb 9th and was hoping it will be ready to drop off on the way. Might not make it but it gives me a goal. I too am ready to start on something else....See Moreritaweeda
