Carica papaya

Does anyone know the name of this plant? Thank you

Possibly some type of Curcuma ginger. There are many hybrids. Check out Gingerwood Nursery online and look at their Curcuma pics and see if you can find a match.

Late hard frosts can kill the flower buds too or do significant damage. Azaleas can flower great one year and be poor the next. When it hits just right, they are spectacular. They looked their best back in 2016 (Pink Ruffles and George Taber) But Mildred looked great this year on the first day of spring while others are just starting to show. Encore azaleas have two blooming periods but not as good as the older spring bloomers. My wife doesn't care for them at all but I have bought 'Autumn Twist' which looks pretty good but yeah, it doesn't bloom very full later in the growing season. Here is my biggest Autumn Twist. Another great one is Hilda Niblett - short, very wide late bloomer (usually in mid to late May).
