Whole lotta questions so bear with me please!
Comments (3)If you plant on moving them, you can dig and move now; you do not have to wait for fall. If you plan on storing bulbs for fall, it is best to wait until foliage die back and then dig and store cool and dry (refridgerator). If you are just trying to move them, then now would be a good idea. For tulips and crocus, don't worry if the stem breaks, but for the daffodils, plant them at same dept with green leaves out of ground to continue taking in sun energy. Allium can be moved, too....See MoreLooking for:Georgescu Chocolate & Boldog Hungarian Spice Peppers

Comments (44)Did you read through this thread? These are moisture loving plants & I know I have personally stated in this thread that I've only succeeded in growing these in Terrariums or the bathroom next to my Shower. Short answer, no I don't think you can take the bottle off w/out the plant wilting again. They really need high humidity, Smart idea this bottle & nice job. Perhaps try to fund some glass vessel to use in place of the bottle for aesthetics (if you care abt that). So you're new to Houseplants? These aren't really beginner plants as you're discovering. Maybe pop over to the Terrarium Forum & do some reading. Don't know how active it is these days. These plants won't propagate from just individual leaves alone. You need to make tip cuttings which are cuttings comprised of at least 2 pairs of leaves for these plants. Put them in soil or moist Perlite & seal in w/ a dome or Cling plastic like Saran to conserve their moisture....See MoreReplacing steel casement windows?
Comments (13)If your selling you might just want to take your chances and let the next owner deal with it. It's difficult to tell a non-professional how to install something we can't see. From the OP, he never mentioned a steel pan system, so I'm not sure if he's talking about leaving the steel pan in and installing on top of that - in which case the pan will still transmit cold from the outside to the inside. However, he might be talking about leaving the narrow steel frame of the casement - sometimes these are finned into the block walls, sometimes screwed into a hidden wood frame. If they are finned they can be a nightmare to remove. I can see that if this is the case, and there is no steel pan, that the opening could be lined/framed with 1x6 or 2x6 and then the new window installed in the wooden frame. Then the exterior could be wrapped with aluminum over the old steel frame. Hope I didn't just confuse the whole issue. Trying to understand what is existing. If there is indeed a steel pan system, I would definitely remove that by tugging and cutting and get it out. Though I've seen it done with it in, and it is a heck of a lot easier, it isn't really the right way to do it....See Moreperen.all Zone 5a Ontario Canada
