Tropical green granite? Losing sleep over it, any pics!!
Comments (10)thank you jewls311! can you post a photo of your cabinets? can you bring a door sample (or even a molding scrap) to the yard and put the the 2 together? that's what we did to make sure our choices would go well together. TG can be dark or light, our peninsula is a bit lighter than the perimeter. what are you thinking in terms of backsplash? I love the wild river suggested by Sara, but it is really expensive (in comparison to TG). I think TG is the most affordable green granite. If you like the green, I would say go for it. Black may be too dark, especially if your floors are going to be darker than the cabinets. would love to see the cabinet photos....See MoreNow We Are Both Losing Sleep
Comments (29)Ruthie, some antidepressants are used for pain relief because of their ability to promote a deeper, healing sleep phase. I've been taking one for many years for Fibromyalgia (FMS). FMS sufferers often wake many times a night because of the pain, never reaching the deepest sleep phase which really allows the body to heal and deal with pain better. How it works I do not know, but it does work, at least for me. Jodi-...See MoreI'm losing sleep over my shower niche
Comments (6)I am soooo glad to see your post! Lol. My family doesn't understand and now I know I am not alone. We remodeled our kitchen 3 years ago and it wasn't near as bad as this. We did end up tearing out our old whirlpool tub. There was nothing wrong with it and I wanted to keep it. Hubby strongly advised to replace it because the plumbing was 20 years old - it was plastic - plastic wears outs, and if it leaks it's going into my new kitchen. Lol. He won. But, like you said, the old tub deck had to be cut down so in the end my bathroom ended up gutted to the studs. All I really wanted was another drawer in my puny vanity, and somehow it ballooned to a gut job. Breath in, breath out....See MoreTile or Wood for a foyer is causing me to lose sleep. HELP!!!
Comments (14)Is it an open or closed foyer? I just saw pics from my childhood home this morning (my parents moved years ago, but neighbors have kept tabs on it and sent all of us the listing when it went on the market... oh, the nostalgia!!!!). It's a Craftsman (more or less) and it's definitely not a fancy house, but I actually loved and *still love* the tiled/mosaic foyer that opened into a hardwood-floor living room. There *is* a leaded glass door separating the two spaces, so that makes a difference -- but still. If I got a chance to renovate another old house, I would seriously consider the tiled foyer. Just have to move back to upstate NY so I can afford it... ;) There should be an upright piano under that window next to the foyer door!! Waaaah.......See Morelisaw2015 (ME)
