Comments (35)It looks like the bird I saw is one of the metallic objects and is a turtle. It does look more natural as a turtle, not like a stuffed bird! The second turtle to its right stood out as different but I couldn't see an animal in it. It does look like a cat up in the right. Comments (42)If you take mama gooses photo - if you take her starfish and crab claw as the base of an equilateral triangle, then at the top is my turtle. Right above the word claw is my sleeping Canada Goose. And of course, as soon as the critter is pointed out to us we'll wonder how we ever missed it....See MoreFind Friday's critter

Comments (29)A vole looks more like a mouse. They are a true pest of gardeners, farmers, and orchardists. In the winter, voles will chew the bark from woody trees and shrubs, causing some real damage. This guy is a little shrew, a ravenous carnivore and insectivore. As tiny as they are, shrews have a reputation for being very feisty and fearless. They have sharp teeth and their bites are mildly venomous. We don't see shrews very often, but they are very common. They live under leaf litter or in tunnels that some other animal has excavated....See Morenicole___
