I thought it was a fox. It is a pretty critter which ever it is.

I have a find the critter for today

I normally would have just deleted the image since it didn't show the subject very well, but with the "find a critter" thread, it was a good place for a not-so-good picture. The "toad" is part of a dried day lily flower similar to what is shown in the last picture. If anyone sees a black rat snake in the picture, let me know. I don't see one, but it was the same periwinkle patch where I found Mr. Bitey biting my leg.

It looks like there's 2 of them in your circle one right above the other, edit never mind it's not another one. . I assumed that was the critter but had no idea what it was. I also thought perhaps that was not a twig but a walking stick bug to the right.

Good job guys! It is the round object in the picture. A rock ptarmigan. If you see that dark black spot, that's its left eye and its beak is pointing down at about 8 o'clock. This is a different one but it will give you an idea of what they look like all puffed out.

I see it, but is there more than one thing we are looking for? I see a couple of other different critters or maybe they are just rocks lol

I thought I'd found 3 critters, until I enlarged the picture. One of the 'critters' turned out to be the end of a dead branch, the other a clump of dried grass.

Actually, I'm not sure I agree with the others on what the critter is, so I'm anxious to see what he (she?) really is when you post the solution, Nicole.

It's either a bobcat or a lynx. It's a perfect image of the head and neck, no disguise other than it's small. Perhaps those who don't quite see it can get an improved picture by clicking on the image.

minjeeah....so here's a story for you. :0)

My DH got an email he'd won 1st place in a photo contest. It's the Cheyenne Mtn park open space here in Colorado Springs, Colorado. We stopped by the parks Visitors Center to see the display, but they had a yoga class in the display room. So we hiked a nature trail behind the building while we waited and saw the bobcat.....

Rhizo, I thought it might be a fox, or maybe a coyote. I didn't enlarge it as much as Nicole did for the answer, only what it enlarges to when clicked on.
