aesculus splendens -- can i maintain it at 10 feet?

Hello,

I recently purchased a small, multistemmed aesculus splendns (red horsechestnut). The tag said it would max out at 10 feet, but I since read that this can grow as big as 20 -25 feet tall. Given that it is multistemmed, I was hoping to use it as more of a large bush, and attempt to maintain its height at aout 10 feet. Do you think that, if this tree begins to grow past 10 feet, I can maintain it by pruning it as a shrub, or is it just the wrong choice for me

Thank you,

Shadey
