What is killing my seedlings?

I would love some help identifying what's wrong my tomato seedlings. I first noticed that a few of the first true leaves had fallen off; the plants otherwise looked healthy so I didn't think too much of it. Now the loss of leaves is accelerating, and looking more closely I find soft/slimy white spots on the stems and pale yellow/green spots on the leaves that are just starting to wilt.

The tomatoes were started in a seed mix, and then transplanted into quart containers with potting soil. They've been fertilized a couple of times with dilute Miracle Grow. They are indoors under fluorescent light in a south-facing window, plus I have started to take them out to my covered patio on nice afternoons.

I took several photos of the worst-affected plant.

Thanks for any help! I've been a lurker on this site for years.
