If you prefer separate vanities, you could move them to either side of the door, along the closet wall (one where the linen closet is shown, and the other on the opposite side of the door. That leaves you a long wall to put linen storage. It could be an extension of the RH vanity, like this: Another alternative: put the sinks on either side of the window on the outside wall (center the window; I'm assuming this is a new build). Put the shower on the current sink wall, with linen storage next to it. You could even possibly put the WC room next to the shower, and open up the space with the double window to let more light into the whole room. This room has shower, then linen, then toilet room, to give you an idea on size. I don't think you need a window in a shower. If you've got glass walls and a window in the room, you'll get plenty of light. And windows in showers require very careful waterproofing.

I am assuming you don't want to change anything in the shower...if that's the case, how do you enter the shower now ? << Our current layout has the tub as shown in Option A and the shower as shown in both options, and the toilet as shown in Option B. Our lower right wall is angled with a small vanity. This wall will be removed so the bottom right is square as shown in the layouts. Yes, we have the option of moving the plumbing. I think we will be limited on toilet movement since I understand that the toilet should be within 4' of the vent. The vent is about 2' "north" of the toilet. I am not sure if other vents are available. We enter the shower now by walking between the toilet and tub. Thank you very much for drawing out all of the other options. I am giving some thought to all of them and will draw out some more layouts using yours and everyone else's ideas. Will hopefully post those later today.

A few initial thoughts though- Lily's mom- thanks for that thoughtful discussion....you are correct that in hand-drawn version I put the door opening the wrong way.... ARG- your insight is always much appreciated. Our architect doesn't have a strong opinion one way or another, he is trying to accommodate our specific wants...Our architect does like the bath and shower to be continuous, with bath ledge continuous with bench ideally (which we don't exactly have)...he kind of got us in the bench mindset...maybe we should reconsider...regarding the bench depth Lily's mom, he thought 1'8" is optimal but perhaps a bit less deep? Never knew or considered issue of external walls...new construction and hopefully will be well-insulated so didn't really consider that shower against exterior wall could be less warm...We like the bathtub against the exterior wall/window which puts vanity on opposite wall (which I think we may reduce to 6' from 8'). Question for all- what are the ideal dimensions for shower, both with or without bench. Remember that even if there is a bench you still have the spaciousness of airspace above it. Personally, we feel like a dimension more than 5'6" starts feeling too long and we would want a minimum of 3'6" for either dimension....Also, having trouble figuring out layout of sprays in shower especially in hand drawn version where entering on the short end of the shower. Our goals are to have one main shower head as well as total 2 body sprays on opposing walls, and possible a hand spray which would be near the bench. Also want to be able to reach in turn on water without any spray hitting door (and controls should also be easily reachable while standing in shower sprays). Lot to consider as you said LM. If switching WC and shower is so helpful, we might consider doing that while also rotating the shower 90 degrees, thus shower door would be on its short end which might work better with sprays. If we only want short dimension of shower at 4', that would give 7' to WC which seems a bit deep? Unless we put shelves in there (my library;) Guess that wasn't so brief. Actually... It's 91" wide. It's actually okay as long as you get true sink vanities, which are only 21" deep generally without the counter and about 22" with. Can't use kitchen cabinets though. I forgot about the difference. Duh. With 32" tub and shower, that leaves 37" clearance from her plans to the vanilty, which is fine. Down to a 24" clearance just in front of the toilet is to code and 27" is fine for just that area. My plan, with tub to left of door, allows for a nice 6' tub and a shower that is 55x36, which is more usable and way more luxurious than a tub and shower that are 32x60. You can deck mount a faucet at the end of the tub. Refining the plan, under the window would go an extra narrow (18") built in hamper/cabinet to give plenty of room for the shower and tub. The toilet would be against the LEFT wall, not the front wall. Then you could do a U shaped counter with 48" of cabinet front on the left wall and 66" on the back, plus fillers. Minimum clearance in whole bathroom would be 36" from hamper counter edge to bath tub and slightly more from toilet rim to tub filler pony wall. My plan gives a 3' tub entrance and shower entrance.
