Long cool spring in NJ, how's your garden doing?

Hope to spark some conversation on this forum... looking at the weather in the next 15 days, I think we are finally getting over this long cool spring season.

in my veggie garden, the only thing I am harvesting is lettuces and they are thriving nicely in this weather. I transplanted seedlings of tomatoes, peppers, melon and squash in the last warm spell 2-3 weeks ago, too optimistically I guess. They have been really struggling in this temperature, wind and rain. I hope they can be savage. Otherwise, it will be an expensive trip to the nursery.

for the flower garden, I have the columbines and bleeding hearts blooming, clematis is just starting now, the irises are just budding. I sow some annual seeds a few days ago. Hopefully, it's not too late.

how is your garden doing?
