What's wrong with my echeveria?
Comments (7)I had looked up the life cycle of the mealies and this plant has been mealy free for many months now, long past any reproductive cycle. So, I can't figure out if somehow the mealies have been hiding out all this time, inactive, or if this is a new infestation. It is suspicious because it is the only plant in my collection that has the problem, and only the mother plant's pot. So that's why I think I need to do a soil drench with a pesticide as whatever I've done so far has been a failure. An annoying garden problem....See MoreWhat wrong with my Echeveria???
Comments (1)Possibly too much water when it was dry. Just like cactus when you start up watering in the early spring. If you give them too much water they tend to expand too quickly and split. Anyway that's my thoughts....See MoreSomething is Wrong with my Echeveria
Comments (3)Using mix made of grit, perlite, scoria, pumice, turface (and some other ingredients) - few of these ingredients will make well draining mix. Here is some interesting reading about soils and includes good photos: -please click here- Itis quite a bit of reading, but it will help anyone to understand why and how to make same or similar potting mixes....See MoreWhat's wrong with my lipstick vine?
Comments (2)It is from one of two things, too much water or too little. I suspect it's too little, as you have other vines doing well. Perhaps the sickly fine is rooted to close to the surface of the plant. But you can get an affirmative answer by removing the plant from the pot and checking the roots. If they look healthy, it's probably underwatering. If there are rotten slimy brittle roots it's overwatering. While you have the plant out, I would see if I could get an unhealthy vine out and inspect it's roots individually, looking for the same symptoms. Good luck....See Morebernardyjh
