I see now why gardeners like those hellebores

To be honest I never understood people's sometimes 'obsession' with hellebores. I had always found a reason not to add them to our garden. So somewhat reluctantly i took 3 from a relative who was moving (I am always protective of the limited real estate of our garden). I plunked them in less than optimal locations ie quite shady. The first year there were no flowers, last year there were a few more. But 3rd year is a charm i.e. robust and floriferous. I get so many comments on a perennial I used to be just 'meh' about!

They have now been in bloom for it seems like quite awhile. (Are yours still in flower?)

I am now thinking of adding more to our garden! As a newbie to these plants are there any recommendations you could share with me?
