Connecticut Fall Swap, can we start talking?
Comments (97)Hi, lauramg8 I'm looking for mostly shade plants. I need to fill an area between my house and driveway. It is fairly steep and shaded by my neighbor's house and a very large oak. The shrubs and bushes that are there now are not doing well. They are leggy and have fungi growing on them. Over all, they just don't look healthy. There is no ground cover so every time it rains some soil is washing down onto the driveway. The roots on a couple of the dogwoods are more visible now than a couple of years ago. I'm not quite sure what I'm looking for since I am new to gardening. I do know that I would like to plant things for the wildlife e.g. food for butterflies, bees, and birds. -Tina...See More~Can we Talk Whiplash?
Comments (32)hospital has promised to fix the problem. I will follow up later this week. I need to contact my insurance agent to see if I need to do anything. I will call her right now before I forget. Things are okay here kids. I started hurting and getting restless this morning about 3am. I finally realized at five it was because the pain medication had worn off. I've stayed down pretty much this morning. I did fix Custer some lunch (Hamburger Helper how easy is that?) and washed a load of puppy blankets. I'm really tired now so will go take a nap. Cathy is right; there are NO drivers worse than in Utah. It is impossible to drive defensively. If you a safe amount of space between you and a vehicle some moron will dive into it. Going the posted limit is very frightening cause people run up your back. I was very glad to get home Saturday night. Oh! Our team did well at state. I'll post some photos later. Thanks to you all! You are the best! Lori...See MoreWedding hairstyle trial run
Comments (48)You might experiment with a mussy side part. I tend to do that when I pull my hair up, and my face is a similar shape to yours. All straight up, while looks good, slightly shifted to one side looks better since I too have a long nose. Nothing wrong with a long nose, but also nothing wrong with slightly downplaying it either. In the picture you like, there is more of a sideways configuration. And a little bit of slight curly side whisps . . . I could go either way....See MoreCan we talk? Fluffy duvets & sleeping hot
Comments (19)Interesting post as I was almost going to post something similar. I need something different for my bed. It's a queen and most of my comforters are "double/queen" whatever that means. I have quite the set of duvets, but I'm not a huge fan of most of them anymore. SO and I are using mostly blankets made for a double. Right now we have an actual queen-sized synthetic comforter with an ugly fabric cover, inside a maroon flannel duvet cover that we both love the color of. But it is like sleeping under lead! And SO is such a human furnace that even with the heat turned down as low as possible, he heats up the room all on his own if I leave the door closed. I wake up at night and can feel the heat pouring off of him. If he puts his hand on me, it is like lava flowing over me. My nickname for him is "Lava Man." I toss and turn a lot, and the comforter is constricting me. My two basic temperatures in bed are cold and hot. And the general feeling is "oppressed" in one way or the other....See Moreeld6161
