I've been watching a webcam on a Bald Eagle nest in Decorah, Iowa since 3 eggs hatched in April. All three of the Eaglets have survived and fledged now, and seldom return to the nest tree. The cam is due to shut down soon. Here they are with Mom, on a branch about 10' above the nest: The nest is 80' up in a Cottonwood, directly over a trout stream, and right next to a state trout hatchery. Needless to say, the babies had a fine diet of fresh fish. The UStream site has had over 160 million hits since April.

no, I tried all of that too....things seem to be working for now. My next step was going to be trying the laptop to eliminate the possibility of there being a problem on my end. On the birder's site, not only was the post gone, but I didn't know there had been a response either. Hoping it is straightened out now...I like it here!!

Beautiful shots of a beautiful bird! I've never had the good fortune of seeing one up close and personal. I'm in east central MS and I know they are in north MS because last year (I think) someone from that area posted a message about them nesting in her yard! Thanks for sharing! Donna

Thanks Rachel, it was quite a treat I have to admit. I was completely on overload. I've been meaning to get that on My Page, but for now it's a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ28, 7.2 megapixel, 12 zoom. It's not a super expensive camera, but it gets the job done.
