Hi. Does anyone grow this rose? I got one from edmunds and realized it's on its own roots, which is nice as dr H is no good here. I have her in a pot but am thinking of adding her to the garden, but only if she's healthy. Any info would be appreciated.

Hmmm. Ok interesting. Thanks! This one is a total water guzzler in my area then. Since this is new to the market....Hot and dry (usually dry) climates beware.... this one may possibly need some protection from a lot of dry heat and may need a lot of water for drought areas. Even with all of our rain in CA... this one is my only rose that has cried out for additional water. Seems as though it's worth it though! Dry climates just may need to find the right spot for this one for it to flourish.

Ok, then this is normal for her in zone 10. She shows no sign of stopping yet. Cynthia, that's exactly what I did! She did indeed put out blooming laterals all along those canes. The laterals themselves are growing about 4' tall by the time they bloom! I then cut the laterals WAY down while deadheading, or cutting for the vase. I cut the laterals down to about 8 inches, and they start growing straight up again. I DO love PCdM. I just had no idea she would grow so large so quickly. She's easily twice the size of my grafted Abraham Darby, planted next to her. They were put in the ground at the same time, and Abe started out as a much larger and more mature plant. I'm totally shocked by her size. I hope she doesn't outgrow her space. I'm going to have to prune her pretty hard several times per year. Lisa
