Online appliance parts rec? (US)

Hopefully, I'm allowed to ask this here. Need a part for a eureka vacuum. The company I usually deal with doesn't have the part I need in stock and I don't want to wait a month.

Google the part number. There typically are numerous sources for any given part, including eBay.

I've done that. There are quite a few places that have it. I got 3/4 of the way through ordering on one site when I noticed it wasn't a "secure" site and backed out. Amazon wants twice as much for it so I hate to go that route. Hard to tell who is reliable/trustworthy.

Oh, graffito, been in that basement before. Still often think that maybe that sewing pattern I really wanted wasn't in one of those boxes. But they all were. Couldn't you save the LP's?? Let's hope the other bumps in your road smooth out soon.

I think you are wise in checking out the service aspect. All things mechanical need servicing sooner or later. You can contact the manufacturer and find out who services their appliances in your area. If you live in a place that's "off the beaten path" - you might be better off to buy everyday applicances.

When my parents remodeled their kitchen, they found a great deal at an appliance shop that was going out of business. The Ventahood, double ovens, cooktop, and fridge sat in the garage until the cabinets went in. The electrician wired for the appliances, an HVAC guy did the vent and my Dad helped them install the appliances. The VH was the hardest because it took 3 pairs of hands. The plumber did the DW and the icemaker hookup. But I agree that any one with handyman skills can install appliances. It's not that big a deal.

Thanks all for the wonderful recommendations -- I really appreciate it! I've called around to a few local garden centers and one has some David Austin roses in stock and will be getting more varieties within the coming weeks, so I plan on checking back frequently to see if they have something that will suit my needs. Otherwise, I might wait to order online later this year and delay planting by a year to get exactly what I want for the space. I'm definitely rethinking the arborvitaes too since it sounds like they'd crowd my roses too much, so may plant a hedge row of 4 or so rose shrubs instead to make sure they have enough space/light. Thanks again all for weighing in! I'm diving back into the rose research and reading up on the gorgeous types suggested here -- Cheers!

I like AppliancePartsPros, though I'm not sure if they have vacuum stuff. They're great to deal with, and they let you send parts back for a full refund for any reason within a year after buying, even after they've been installed. I've heard good things about RepairClinic as well, but haven't tried them yet.

I've used RepairClinic several times. They have a similar policy to AppliancePartsPros, which I actually had to take advantage of a couple of times (LG fridge, say no more). Usually priced well and quick shipping.
