Which tub filler for my huge tub and Moderne tile?
Comments (18)Hey breezy! You and me both! LOL I had a different rainhead when we remodeled Mbath at previous house. It was also large and I loved it! Though when I washed my hair, I sometimes used DH's. ( I have very thick hair) We are probably still a month away of being in. The latests setback was the stair color. I told the GC I wanted kind of pecan colored to match my floor. Some how I ended up with BURGANDY! So, they were stripped and sanded and now 2 1/2 weeks later since starting the staining, they are the correct color. Sometimes I just want to pull my hair out! Good luck on your faucet choices! Comments (1)Does the joint where the glass wall tile meets the deck need a special glass molding? I would prefer none just glass tile to solid surface. You can run the wall tile right to the tub deck, and caulk the intersection with color and texture matched caulk. Borders/liners are added for aesthetic and transitional interest. Sometimes it's purely design, sometimes for function, sometimes a combination. If your glass tile can stand on its own, and you'd prefer it to do so, then let it. I've not ever seen a glass grab bar or hand rail. Clear polycarbonate (I think it was PC) yes, but glass, no. Mongo...See Morewhat floor tiles would work with white marble shower and tub walls?
Comments (4)Hate to say it, but I'd use a small hex in same carrara marble, which is probably what you have on the floor of the showers?. You can't mix in another veined anything..... and any solid light or dark floor will show hair, and dust. The smaller the tile, the more patterning ....veining and busyness will result.. A better disguise. Grout in a pale gray/ Keep the Swiffer handy. Truth is most baths need an every day wipe up and a serious once a week cleaning. No tile will allow the escape from maintenance....See MoreNew build, need decision quick on Master Bath tub surround/tub deck
Comments (21)I know this is an old thread. I'm comtemplating if I want a tub at all but if I get an air or a jetted tub, if the sides have stone around, how do you reach the motor if you need a repair? Just curious if anyone has dealt with that situation. For my current outdated tub, I can reach the motor through the the cabinet; I have a cut out there. I could do the same thing. But adding a slab of quartz to a tub make for a very expensive tub. Dominique, what did you decide and are you happy with your decision?...See More2christene
