You were fortunate to get such good photo's. I went out early before church and got a few. Some weren't open yet and when I got home, the rains came..in buckets so everyone I didn't take a photo of, was beat to death. Destined To See looks really good and Gilded By Grace is strutting. A 5" bloom is a really good one on her. As always, PSM does light things up and Lord Of The Wind is a favorite here. Ellie

Step one: Plant the most FB-resistant pear varieties that produce very good fruit in your area. Rather than planting flawed trees....like buying an auto with unfixable transmission problems. Since that boat was missed, learn how to graft on your pear trees to convert them over to the best that can be acquired. Converting them via grafting may take a couple or three years to reboot the trees, but after that you are good to go for many years. Having done just that several times in the last several years, and looking where the trees are now, well, that was a GREAT project to pursue. One of those trees got topworked with scions from Tennosui, Southern King, Southern Queen, and Acres Home. This is the first year that branches from all 4 varieties are bearing fruit. The squirrels and I are already duking it out over eating rights for those pears. So far, FB has been a non-issue. Which is the main point....

Here's hoping the bulbs will ride out this soupy spring. My globemasters did not come back this year....which I sorta knew. Too wet of a 2018 summer...

Wow! I love that shot of Arctic Bear. It looks a lot like my late blooming near white seedling. I like Heavenly Snowflake too! I'm very fond of near whites. Pineapple Bites X Extreme Tangerine has super color and edge! Congrats on that one! Orange Angel is a very pretty orange! Debra
