Earliest Buds of Mine Here in South Michigan and O/T

Yesterday I noticed Winchester Cathedral has buds already and so I took a couple of quick pictures on lunch.

If it's of interest, Mutabilis was just as hardy as any of my "modern" roses. I did have to cut it to the ground like the moderns, but thankfully it's making a good effort at regrowth.

Lady Emma Hamilton is going into her third growing season with me and is taking off. I will need to remove more previous season cane, however.

O/T would be my pansies which survived and bloomed throughout winter are loving the return of nicer weather. In person they are much bluer!

My violets are being kept on a close watch. I have many seedlings to rip out. No mercy for these aggressive cuties!

Strawberries are beginning to bloom, too!
Native Columbine...
Are Bleeding Hearts supposed to get so big? Haha!

Sorry for going off topic from our roses, hehe. I've added a Rosa foetida bicolor to my most exposed and windy site as well as several more DA's and Autumn Damask, Lafter, and Quietness from ARE!
