help picking Dishwasher...GE, Kitchenaid, Bosch
Comments (2)I still will respond. I looked at a Bosch. My inlaws have one and love it. But I looked at the way they put their dishes in, just the two of them, and realized it wasn't a dishwasher for "fill it up with everything you can find Kristen". My mother got a Whirlpool, and she loved hers to. I originally didn't thrill to the plastic interior, but then saw all of the options for filling it. It was also pretty quiet. So, now I have it and love it. Then anyone else in the family says it's full, I find it a challenge to put even more inside! It's has an amazing amount of space and the ways that the racks morph into different positions makes it so user friendly. Love it. I didn't think I'd like the silverware on the door, but it's great. I love the little 4 inch rack that can be used or placed on it's side for large knives and utensils. And the tell tale test for any dishwasher, bowls fit beautifully in the top rack. Check it out!...See Morebosch 800 series, GE profile, or Miele Dishwasher?
Comments (4)When my kitchen remodel was done in 2006, we went with a GE Profile from Lowes that was $700. It has repaired about 7 times in the course if a year. Lowes took it back and have us store credit that we used for an Electrolux Wave Touch at $1200. It never worked right for 2 months. Lowes then refunded us back. After being without a unit for the next 2 years, I did some research and decided to go with the Miele Diamante Plus at $1500. I've had it 5 years now and would only ever go with another Miele dishwasher in the future. Even though it doesn't have a heating element, the drying is fine. Only some plastic cups will pond some water on the top, or some Tupperware items need hand dried....See MoreGE Cafe double wall ovens or Bosch? GE Cafe counter depth or Bosch?
Comments (9)I have Bosch double wall ovens, not French door but side swing. I’ve been happy with them. Have had them for a little over a year - through the holiday season - where I both baked and roasted quite a bit, without any issues (although to be honest I am a novice when it comes to convection mode). I have a counter depth French door refrigerator but not a cafe or Bosch (the Bosch was not yet on the market when I made my purchase or I would have strongly considered it). It’s been great. My old refrigerator is in the garage and I have utilized it for really large gatherings but most of the time the counter depth refrigerator is ample for my needs....See MoreFrigidaire or GE SS range next to Bosch dishwasher?
Comments (3)Thank you, @wdccruise and @mdln, for your replies! We've kind of fallen in love with the Bosch for its third rack for silverware. Esp. with an 18" dishwasher, it's nice not to have a silverware basket taking up space in the bottom rack. Also, mom doesn't believe you should cover up appliances with cabinet panels - if there's a dishwasher, she wants visitors to know it's there! lol Anyway, I finally got to visit a local appliance store yesterday and got a look at the 24" version of that dishwasher and it looks like the stainless steel finish will be close enough to the other appliances so we're going to go with it. Thank you for your help!...See More3katz4me
