New home NorCal - Best reasonably priced higher end HVAC system?

We're in the process of building a 3-level new home construction that is ~9k square feet. Our HVAC contractor seems very good and comes trusted by our general. I've asked him for some manufacturer recommendations, but he seems very flexible. I've also done a bit of research and seem to be leaning towards Bryant or Carrier (I'm aware they are same owner), but am open to any other brands that have recent innovations.

Looking for recommendations on brands + critical components (air handler, heater, coils, ERV/HRV, air quality, etc). What would you put in your house if you want to spend your $ reasonably?

Home is in a very moderate climate and will have at least 3 separate systems, maybe 4.

Thanks in advance!
