lindso, are you looking at the wall oven or the over the range? The models have changed since these posts. The current wall oven version (more expensive) says minimum of about 37 inches from floor to bottom; I'm guessing that height is so a person can read the settings and wouldn't hit your arm on the top getting something out (no racks like a regular oven. The OTR version says minimum of 66 inches from top to floor; I', guessing this is so there is a minimum of 15" between the range and oven. I have the OTR version which is installed over the range at about 78" top from the floor. The height is ok for use, but I don't find there is enough room between it and the gas range top (about 16" from the grill). It's really not a problem but I was used to having a lot more with my old fan. My exhaust fan is recirculating; the house does not have an outside vent. On the Advantium, you just change the vent direction so it vents to the front. For my new house, I'm planning to move the Advantium oven to over a counter. I won't be using it as a exhaust fan. I don't see why that would be a problem; it will still have basically the same amount, and will probably lower it about 2" bo be a little better height for me. Visually, it will kind of look like those kitchens where the microwave sits in a cabinet, although I won't have a bottom so the Advantium can still draw any air it needs from the bottom. Is this what you were talking about?

I've Google searched my way into this forum many times, but never needed to comment or ask questions until now. I do have to say though that the content has always been top notch, and everyone is very helpful! Hopefully I can give back some time! The general feedback here though definitely calms the nerves! In reponse to JWVideo; I actually came across a few reviews specifically for the GE Slide-In Induction Range PHS925STSS, but didn't see any video demos of the issue which is why I asked here, given that there were actual owners who had been living with it commenting on it. Zacman44 comments that flat bottom pans made a difference. Thinking about it, that makes total sense. We'll be getting a new cookset, so I'll make sure to keep an eye out for that. We're in Seattle, and the appliance company (Albert Lee Appliance) has been helpful in the past, so I'll see if they can get it set up to test before we drop the cash for it. I've seen a few other live demos of induction ranges and they look amazing, which is why we are excited to try it out. Again, many thanks for all the helpful comments and seriously quick replies!! Malhgold, the cabinets are from Ultracraft in red birch with a Golden stain. I do not have the Trivection. The oven is the Monogram ZET1SLSS, which the OP was asking about way back when (but it wasn't installed yet when the question was first posted). I'm really happy with the oven. Seems to pre-heat quickly, love those full extension racks, and love the feel of the knobs (they click softly as you turn the dial). The display and the timer function is simple and intuitive. Baking seems very even, Fan reasonably quiet. Interior light illuminates the whole oven well, and stays on the whole time oven is running (you can't control the interior light). At first that bugged me, but now I realize that I am less likely to forget to turn the oven off when I am done. The Advantium has a steep learning curve, and at first I was not thrilled, but now that I am getting the hang of it, I am liking it much better. I re-heated garlic bread tonight with cheese on top, and it came out perfect! Fresh, crispy, restaurant quality. Better than my old toaster oven could do. It took 7-8 minutes, though. Not as speedy as I thought a speed oven would be. I suspect the 240 advantium is quicker. I guess I am just impatient. No pre-heat time required, so it was better than the big oven or broiler would have been for this task. I did frozen chicken tenders for the kids last night, and they were relatively quick (8 min I think), and came out great. The microwave only function is very easy to use - my favorite is the express start button. Hit it once and it starts, with 30 sec on the timer. Hit it again and it adds 30 sec increments. Or turn the dial after it starts to add or subtract time in any amount you want. Very easy! I also like the sensor re-heat feature. It tells you when your food is piping hot, but not burned - no guessing. As a plain microwave it is not as powerful as my old microwave - but not too bad. I really need to play with it some more. I find it a PITA to change the trays when going from speed cook to microwave, though. And the fan on the Advantium is fairly noisy. Minor annoyances. I picked the Monogram over the Profile just for looks. The handles matched my hardware better, and I liked the square face, not curved. Snowy, I was told the same thing, that the only diff betw the Monogram and Profile versions of the 120 advantium was the look (and the price!) Same appliance, different face. Hope this info is helpful.

GEEEEEE, nice video, even high definition! Looks like a great appliance. I think it's great that folks have choices. There are some posts on another thread, kinda ("Hinting") that we are -- ("paraphrasing")-- somewhat snobby or elite, for wanting these type of appliances. What's wrong with saving a little time along with saving money on your energy bills, why cook a tater for an hour when you can do it in 12 to 15 mins.
