FYI guys...FW has the NZL in stock as of today...
Comments (36)I loved them yellow and "over mature" but it to each their own. I enjoyed the fact that they were exactly like a good Valencia but lemon and not orange flavored. But I prefer Valencia over navel any day of the week. Only bloods and cara cara come close to a good Valencia for me. And the ones I had were commercially produced by "ripe-to-you" and i I don't believe it's a lime. At all. A lime is a lemon crossed with c. Micrantha and citron. i believe this is a straight lemon- sweet orange hybrid. Supposedly a navel orange from what I hear....See MoreInfo on Logees Red Finger Lime
Comments (6)Laura - when your bloods start producing you will absolutely crave more (. My fruit actually were the size of small grapefruit this year when I harvested them - I actually kept them on the tree as long as possible, and the last one actually dropped off on its own. Super sweet and fruity. I've thought about getting a finger lime, but just no more room, especially with my grafting - i've got quite a few seedlings for rootstock taking up room. If the Australian finger lime takes after the normal lime, you should get fruits quickly no matter what (regular limes fruit from seedlings 3-5 years). And I assume the red is a mature scion graft, so I'd expect blooms within 2 years given good care (and certainly possible within 1)....See MoreFour Winds Citrus Tree Size Selection Change
Comments (7)Denise, yes! The Premium should still be the same size. The premium are in a #3 container and are 30-36 months of age, which is closest to bearing age. $40.00 Vladimir, The entry size are $22.00 12-18 months in age and are 12"-18" tall.. The choice size was 18-30 months of age and 18-24" tall.. If I remember correctly they were sold for $30-32?? Lauren, most of the premium size that I have ordered had more branching and looked fuller except for the Marumi Kumquat that I ordered in premium size, this spring from FW'S. It was close to the exact same size as the choice size Nagami Kumquat that I had ordered last spring. It was obvious that just prior to shipping they stuck it in a #3 pot as when it arrived I took it out of its pot and all of the loose soil fell away from around the pot.. As a side note, I do believe every variety grows at different rates though and a lot depends on rootstock compatibility , weather, feed etc.....See MoreFour Winds ST (entry level) in stock right now (3/28/18)
Comments (20)As an update, FW sent me a shipping notice for the ST early Monday morning, so it is on its way. I decided to go with the USPS priority mail option (did that with my first set of FW trees 2 years ago and that worked well, where the last set of FW trees I tried Fedex and ugh). It should (theoretically) be here Wednesday and since it is an entry size, I have tempered all expectations with the hope that it arrives in halfway decent shape and I can get it established without a lot of drama. It will be kept far away from the other citrus for now....See Moreponcirusguy6b452xx
