Thanks, that does look like it. Although I don't recall it flowering or having any berries... but maybe I'm just blanking. It is possible for a younger tree not to flower?

Looks good with spring bulbs that have blue flowers at the same time as the pink ones of the tree. However if you are going to keep lopping the branches back you might as well remove the tree, open the bed up for starting from scratch.
