It is helpful to know room size. If I see room proportion correctly and the conversation area, rug would be entirely too large. For an area rug, it can be covering the floor just inside the conversation area, or include all the furniture legs. With the above arrangement you seem to be choking your furniture up just to allow a walkway behind the sofa. This would be a good room to graph out before your decide.

What a nice house you have! If you get the larger rug, it looks as though the edge will come very close to the fireplace tile. Is that an issue for you? I see the rug comes in a size close to your current rug size...I guess if the bigger one doesn't work out, you could opt for that one.

While I was trying to find the blue tape marks behind the sofa (are there any?) I noticed you have not one, but two, adorable dogs. The black one appears to be fond of your current rug...or photo shoots. :)

Forget the rug. That floor is sublime! That should be the entire focus of this room. A true craftsperson poured their heart into laying those floorboards - carefully alternating them for color and width variation. I'd reconsider putting underwhelming rugs over top of that masterpiece that do nothing but compete with it. But if you must go solid tone. Nothing else.
