With Ebay, it's all about the seller and not about 'eBay itself.

Poncirus seeds are easy to grow, but the plants grow quite slowly. I would think at least three years from seed before you can begin grafting - depending on the type of grafting you expect to do.

I've bought many seeds from Ebay. My Poncirus trifoliata 'Flying dragon' is one variety. I'm very happy with a couple of sellers I've bought from, and for sure will buy more in the future when I have more space.. Most of ordered seeds had 80% germination rate and some were still moist(fresh) or in a wate+something-solution. As Dave said, it's about the seller.

Also I've bought macro-nutrient supplements too, like Epsom-salt(from India) and iron sulphate(from Portugal). No problems and good quality.

3 years is a lot longer than i was thinking. I has hoping it was more like 1 year.

Maybe if you are growing them in a greenhouse you will get faster growth.

My Poncirus Tryfoliata's were graft-able 6 months later. They grow fast in full light. I also has dwarf US897 that I grafted in about 6 months.

Steve, that would truly be amazing to get 'graftable' size for Poncirus. That's not Flying Dragon though. What type of graft was that?

Middle photo; Meiwa kumquat tees from seed. are much slower growing than flying dragon.

Last pictures shows 6 inch trees at 3 months old that are halfway to grafting size assuming I am using these seedlings as root stock.

I give the trees 16 hours of light per day and they are now beginning to grow fast about an inch every 2 to 3 weeks.

I also draw fresh air through the roots daily for about 5-10 seconds.
